Wait...why dont I like this?

Ever play a game that sounds like everything you like in a game but once you play it you find you don like it?

Which game was it and why didn't you like it

For example:
I have a friend who is a huge Halo fan and one of his favorite genres is RTS so when Halo Wars came out he was all "oh yeah baby!" but when he played he was all "this sucks"

I myself am a fan of Mario, RPGs, and the Paper mario series is one of my favorite series ever, BUT didnt like the Mario RPGs on the handhelds.

I think that may be an issue of cashing in on a franchise. You like a franchise known for one genre, and you like a different genre, but when the franchise crosses over it just doesn't do it so well.
