Hello Escapists, I was hoping you could help me find a short film that I saw a few years ago, but that I can't seem to find anywhere. I believe that the title was "Waiting for Go," though I'm not quite 100% sure. I don't know any of the names involved with it and I haven't been able to find it using numerous searches.
It was about a black businessman who was late to a meeting in a taxi with a white cabbie in the desert. Everywhere around them is empty except for the one car ahead of them that never moves on a green light and the blind tomato seller on the corner. Eventually the businessman gets annoyed with the fact that the cabbie won't go around the car ahead of them (because he doesn't want another strike on his record) and gets out to talk to the driver of that car, only to find a rotten dead man, so he moves that car off of the road. Now, the light refuses to change, and the tomato seller tries to sell them some. After a bit that I don't remember too well, the cab makes it across the street, but the two guys have to walk back across to get the tomatoes. The businessman convinces the cabbie to cross during a red light seeing as they're not in the cab, and therefore he can't get in trouble. They are both promptly hit by an 18-wheeler.
Sorry, that was long, but I wanted to put in as much as I could to remind anyone who may have seen this of it. If anyone can give me some info on it, or even just note that you've seen it, too, that would be great. You know those things that you remember but that you can find no actual remnant of? This is mine.
Thanks.
