and also was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could induce it easier, because I can't get it to work.
Me too - I'm currently trying reality checks.

Pick three things that identify you as awake. Ie the letter A written on your hand (stands for Awake), specific details about your hands or arms, and pinching your arm (just examples, those are the three I'm using).

Check you are awake throughout the day, apparently it increases the chance you'll perform the checks in your dream and realising you're asleep. Since the A won't be on your hands, and apparently hands appear weird in dreams :S

Also keep a dream diary, apparently that helps to. Plus it's funny to look at all the cracked-out shit that happens in dreams which makes perfect sense at the time, lol.

It's happened to me about three or so times.

It's a truly unique experience. It's like the best kind of dream and you have full control over it, or it's like the worst kind of dream that you have to go through. I'm at a roughly 2/1 ratio so far.

When you say it could be the worst experience, What do you mean? I thought if you can control it nothing can go wrong.
Well, I think it has something to do with me falling out of control, perhaps by falling into deeper sleep. The lucidity of vision and memory upon waking remain, and I am subject really traumatising imagery which I would much rather forget. I think there's a reason standard dreams aren't normally experienced clearly.

I practice to do these things. I find it very interesting.

How far along are you in being lucid? Can you remember the dreams? Do you have some awareness of dreaming (i.e. do you sometimes feel like you are lying in bed while dreaming)?

Also, do you generally try this after a full day of work/school/activity? That generally makes it more difficult to perform a WILD.

What I generally do, is I use reality checks while dreaming to check whether or not the results are consistent with reality. Examples are:
Look at a piece of paper with writing on it. If you're dreaming the text will appear disjointed and confusing.
Flip a light switch. Switches in dreams are unconnected with their lights.
Stand on your head and lift your arms. In a dream you generally won't fall.
If you are dreaming of a familiar place look around to see if it is consistent with what the place is really like.
Look at the weather, remember the conditions, look away and look back. Weather in dreams is random and inconsistent.

Remember to let us know how you make out.

I read about how to ease your self into it, but never tried it.
Draw two dots on your thumb knuckles. Then keep trying to dream that you look at your thumbs. If you get to a point where you see the dots on your thumbs and not your bare skin, then you'll fully immerse yourself into the dream.
I don't know if it works though.

Unfortunately I only remember 1 dream for about every 8 months, I would be down for just dreaming :(

that seems kinda sad.
I would say that it makes those dreams all the more special, but they are usually pretty mundane, and slightly hyper realist at best

I have lucid dreams all the time but usually only when the weather is cold out. Least likely during the summer.

First thing you need to do is have REM sleep. If you don't have that, you definitely won't have a lucid dream.

For me, I dunno, about 80% of my dreams are lucid. Then 10% are just regular dreams and 10% is random garbage. (You know the kind.)

Lucid dreaming is the best! I hear gamers are more likely to be lucid dreams so maybe try playing a lot of video games. Also, try to remember before you go to sleep that your supposed to realize your in a dream. When I was a kid, I'd sometimes be like, "Oh, yeah! This is just a dream!" while dreaming. Then I'd just do whatever the hell I wanted. It's an instant God-mode cheat code for dreaming - ha ha ha.

No, but seriously, sometimes despite being a lucid dream my sub conscious sometimes has more control over the dreams than I do. Like I can only control myself (and my powers) but not the actions of other 'people' or the environment... but sometimes I can, and it's straight to the school changing rooms. (Where, oddly, there are always Teachers patrolling for me. F*** 'em, they don't stop me.)
