Yeah, it doesn't make much sense why there isn't a PC release. Which is unfortunate because from the sound of the game it sounds kinda interesting. Depending on reviews I would pry have bought it on Steam a few days after release. Their loss, if they don't want my money I will just spend it on something else.

No pc release, no buy. I don't feel like buying it on console and having it be unplayable in 5-6 months.
Why would it be unplayable in 5-6 months, just out of curiosity?
Because in my experience this generation of consoles are made of garbage that continously break down despite being taken care of. In 1-2 years 360 games in particular will be completely useless as working 360's become rarer and rarer due to their short life span.
In my experience, my current 360 has been working for 2 years, and has a lifetime warranty if it ever does red ring. I've also never heard of a Wii breaking down, or a PS3 other than that "yellow light of death" a few years back.

My Wii (got pretty close to launch) still works great, same with the PS3 (got 2-3 years ago). I never use my 360, so dunno about it.

OT: I'll probably pass on this game anyway. The redneck was the only character in the show that was close to being likable, and even then, I still cannot see what people see in the show. I watched the first two seasons of it, and the first episode of season three, and it more of just a "meh" show. It moved really slow, pretty much every character was annoying, a jerk, or unlikable in some other way. After finishing season two on Netflix I thought I'd be perfectly fine with never watching anymore of it and not feel like I missed a single thing.

I'm ready for Fiddler's Green Pt2.
I;m not the only one who played that cool to know.

OT: isnt this that crappy fps game that the escapist posted a story and some screens for a while back if so it sounds like its still dumb.

Well, I'm slightly more interested in it now after I hear this, but I'm still not sold enough to buy it for my dust-gathering console.
Also truck? I was under the impression that they had motorcycles.
Also truck? Isn't that basically the antithesis of Daryl having a crossbow? Big loud truck attracting every walker for miles does not seem to be a smart survival choice.
A probable not buy still, I'll wait for the reviews.
You mean his motorcycle is a better choice for riding through zombie infested lands?

Yes.

Congested highways filled with vehicles leave his motorcycle a much better choice.
The first bit was a complaint about not being canon with the show, the second was the practicality thing.

This sounds like Oregon Trail 2013. Instead of stopping your wagon for food, you stop for gas cans.

I'll pass, thanks.

No pc release so it's not like I could buy it anyway even if I wanted to but this just seems like a desperate attempt to do a quick cash in on the shows most popular character.

The textures look horribly rendered, giving the zombies a cheap plastic-y feel to them and I think we all know this will eventually devolve into just another 1st person shooter with zombies.

Also, no pc release?? Some people just don't even bother to hide their disgust for the pc market.

According to Wikipedia, IGN, Game Debate, Eurogamer, Giant Bomb and... well, the rest of the internet, really, it is getting a PC release. Mr. Karloff just didn't mention it because he clearly hates us and wants to pretend that we don't exist.

Thank You for the information. I had checked both Steam and Origin a few days ago but didn't see it. I just checked Steam again and it is on there now. That's cool it is getting a PC release.

Still waiting for actual gameplay to come out before I buy the game. Then again, I know plenty of people who wrote off Telltale's game until about Episode 3 came out so this could end up being a sleeper hit but who knows. For all I know this thing could be a diamond in a manure truck or a volatile bomb. Guess we'll find out on the 22nd if this game is any good.

It doesn't?

No dice.
But this game lets you play as Rednecks.

But, don't we already have Starcraft for that? *Insert 'That's what I call cold fusion' cutscene here*

The entire game is an escort mission? Escort missions are NEVER good or fun, so designing an entire game around the concept is a recipe for disaster. Then again, Terminal Reality's been around for quite a while and has a pretty good track record, so they really should know better. Maybe they're just being extremely cocky. If they do manage to make a good game here, it'll look VERY good for them.

P.S. Thanks
Nah, from what gameplay I've seen you hardly see the other survivors with you. What happens is: you get to an area and park outside with what survivors that came with you and gather around the car, you send survivors to different parts of the town to collect different items, some survivors have stats that make them better than others, you can distribute the gear you have across your fellow survivors if you want (as you can only hold what one man could possibly hold, excess you store in your car), and when you are done with the area the survivors that made it back will give you what they found.

All in all the game doesn't look bad, I may wait for the price to drop but I could see myself having a fun weekend with it.
