He could realistically have a few hundred miles of fresh wall in total by the time the general election debates start, but if he makes that claim, would any of you believe him?
If there was evidence, sure. The problem with Trump claims is that they tend to come without, and turn out to be fibs.

Here's a proposition for you. You know how you claim Pelosi is delaying the Impeachment stuff so it can have the most effect on the election. Same thing with the Wall. He's just delaying it, probably because 'build a wall' was so effective last time.
I don't know if Trump is highly capable of long-term thinking like that, but I could buy that theory.
I'm not quite sure Pelosi is capable of a 4 year plan either. But I am guessing that since Mueller took so long, and it had some evidence but maybe not enough for Impeachment, she has been slowing things for maximum impact next year. I could see Trump in a similar situation. He only got money a few months ago and is slowing down for maximum impact

That's convincing. We have stopped hearing about it lately, and he could be holding back until the election spotlight goes back to him.

Come the election, this will be an interesting issue. With all the wall funding they've designated, there's probably going to be a big construction push in 2020, so that Trump can say he built walls... but I don't think anti-Trump people would even believe it happened. He could realistically have a few hundred miles of fresh wall in total by the time the general election debates start, but if he makes that claim, would any of you believe him?
Yeah, because people's problem with the wall was that it's totally impossible to build a wall, and not, you know, that he said Mexico would pay for it or that it'd be a huge waste of time (reminder, the wall can be cut through by what, a $100 saw you can buy at any tool shop they said). Not even going into the fact that he held up aid for dreamers to get money for the wall, declared a national emergency to get funding and shut down the federal government to get his way.
You forgot to mention robbing money from the military, which the GOP usually has a boner for and yet somehow doesn't seem to care much when Trump does it.

Because the military can suck it, apparently as long as Trump gets his precious wall money(as opposed to, say, paying for the damn thing himself).

I'm just wondering what his supporters are going to do when they finally realize that his biggest election promise and the coattails that he rode in on, is nothing more than a lie and a sham.
If you can't deliver on the biggest promise of your campaign, then what good are you?

No doubt his supporters will handwave it away, or twist the blame onto somebody else. Or maybe they'll all just conveniently forget about the whole thing.
It'll somehow be Obama or Hillary's fault. Because of course it is.

Trump gets away with shit because his supporters enable him to do so and he is well aware of this. The GOP or his followers may occasionally grouse about his conduct but they've made it clear they'll vote for him regardless so there's no reason for him to care. If your child keeps shitting on the floor and you refuse to punish him, guess what, he's gonna keep shitting on the floor.

I generally believe facts. The wall is not a fact. He has some money right now. He could've started months ago.
The money (or at least, the significant chunk of it) was held up with various legal challenges. It has become available only relatively recently (August)?

After that, even if pre-existing plans have been made, suppliers and contractors have to make space in their diaries (they're not going to do it until the money is definitely arriving), plus co-ordination and other logistics, which means a start date somewhat after the money is freed. Consequently, it seems reasonable to me that very little has been done so far. Come 2020, I'd expect a lot more action.

If it were me in Trump's sordid shoes with minus-integrity and absolutely no morals whatsoever, I'd just hedge my bets and claim to all them supporters that the wall is actually built, but it's invisible. And only true-blooded Americans can walk right through it as if it's not even there. Its new technology! Powerered by white supremacist Jesus! Any Mexicans or defectors who claim to have passed through without trouble are all just secret Democrat actors trying to undermine our patriotic glory. They'll believe fucking anything from curdled toad mouth. And even if they don't, they always indulge some mental gymnastic to justify why it's an ok lie for the greater good. Win win!

Does it also let Native Americans pass though?

... I guess not, all things considered.

Speaking of Native American, haven't seen Lil Devils X around for a while. Anyone know what's up?

Its not just about building a wall. Its also about having Mexico pay for it.

And possibly that it greatly improves the US by reducing the number of rapists or whatever.

Now come on, what chance is there these particular brand of c...err, white psuedo-christians would be seeing the original Americans as equally human and deserving of rights as themselves? Waiting to be happily proven wrong on that still. :) :(

Most likely, or at least I like to think, out living life mayhaps. Or having break from online despairs. Hopefully nothing worrying anyway. It's pleasant to see such positivity around in the face of everything though.

Wasting time arguing on the internet can be fun, but often it's just better to f*** off and do something in the real world.
