Am I the only person who has ever wanted something bad, I mean really bad like getting brutally attacked and being in a coma for years to happen to yourself just so you can get revenge. It would make you seem dark, mysterious etc. I would like to be seen that way, but not as a thug. Does anyone else ever feel this way?

I've wanted to take a bullet or two... or five... and live to tell about it, but not for the sake of revenge. I just want to know what it feels like.

No.

I've wanted bad things to happen to people I hate, although generally not worse than being crippled.

But no, pain for me is bad.

Uhm.. There was a girl in my media class and she said if she ever got attacked or stabbed or something, she would think, "I've got to survive this so I can sell this story to That's Life!"

So no, you're not alone.

I can imagine what you mean. Ive had something similair but in my case it involved something like that happening to someone dear to me. I found it entertaining to imagine what i'd do to get revenge.

I know this may soumd stupid but seeing terrible things happen to people in games, tv, books etc and then they get revenge or it changes them in a way is something that appeals to me. Examples include Dexter, The Punisher, Oldboy etc.

I've also thought of it with someone dear to me, but then I think its wrong for me to think that way about people who are close to me in that way.

I would like a tragedy actually.
Something like a boy, almost getting killed by his father because he lost hope due to the demise of his wife in a car accident. And he was driving. Failing to kill his son he commited suicide, followed by his son commiting suicide as well. You know, something that would inspire people to write drama again and make more people realise that lots of explosions or comedy aren't the only things to a movie/book/game.

When I'm bored I occasionally wonder what it would be like to be in a coma and be able to hear what the people around you are saying. No revenge fantasies though.

I sometimes want to time travel to get to the future, but stay my current age. No way I'm going in a coma for 50 years and be 70 because of it.

I just find my life boring and something tragic to happen to me or someone close to me and I could get revenge would give my life a clear goal.

Revenge is a sweet sweet cake with a bitter bitter filling.

I have had bad things done to me, I got revenge and it felt great but afterwards, it is not worth it in the end.

So no, I would not want this experience. I want a life where I can do positive constructive things. So, I hope nothing bad happens to me so I can continue to study and grow.

One problem of course is you won't be some badass dark brooding hero, you'll be a coma patient who will need months and months of therapy (possibly years) to learn to use there body again and relarn basic skills such as eating your food, talking properly and tying your shoelace ,you'll also likely have suffered damage to your body from years of inactivity (i.e you'll be little more then skin and muscle) from which you may never recover from your certainly never likely to be as strong as you were before the accident, you will also never get revenge on the thug who did it, because he'll be long gone by the time you come out of it, and even if by chance you find him he's just going to kick your ass again like he did before.

So yeah I think personally it would suck.
