In this country the key to success is not hard work and determination. It's being famous. Snooki and Justin Beiber can write a book and get it published easier then someone like Brian Keene.

I only desire to be famous so I can do the things I want to do, like writing.

I wouldn't mind being wealthy, but I'd hate to be famous. I like my privacy. And I'm not much of a 'people person'.

I think it just boils down to people wanting interesting lives. Don't blame 'em myself. Having a little dream isn't a bad thing. Sure, there are people out there who want everything given to them just because they've got fake tits. But there's plenty of people who'd like to work for success, take some chances and hopefully have a life they enjoy.

I also think it's a little bit of being unfulfilled in other aspects of life, for whatever reason. So they focus on their passions.

I only want my music to reach as many people as possible. Whether that makes me famous or infamous, don't care, I'M GONNA EXPRESS MYSELF. Deal with it.

I'd like to be famous in the more heroic fashion by doing something brave and couragous. Tad cheesy I know, but I'd love to have left a mark on this world for when I die.

No way. I would be quite annoyed if random people started to stare at me.

I wouldn't want to famous. I would want to be remembered by more than just family and friends though. Maybe just recognition that I'd done something good or important in my life.

Well fame to some extent gives you power, and whoever doesn't want that...

That should say it all. So many of my students tell me that they want to become famous. Don't get me wrong, if I could say "hey I taught that guy math" about the next astronaut for NASA, I wouldn't be upset but if I had to say it about the next celebrity rehab patient, I'd be pretty upset.

Being famous fore just being famous is (according to me)the most stupid thing...yet...but being famous because you do what you love or just being kind that would be nice because then you can change and then *BAM* world domination MOHAHAHAHAHA...No but seriously being famous would be nice as long as I could still have a social life and was famous fore doing what I love.

I don't want fame but rather, the wealth associated with it. Fame could potentially get in the way of me enjoying my financial security and Scrooge-McDuck style safe-pool.

I wanted to be a famous actor back when I was little, but I grew up and my goals in life changed.
I think it's pretty normal for a kid to want to be famous. It's just another childhood/teenage dream that fades away as you grow older.

"Famous" isn't that shallow... you can be famous for very complex stuff, too.
yeah but the pursuit of that complex stuff for fame is shallow. Doing it because you like the thing is not. The motivation defines an action.

Same reason why me not getting into fights is more moral then christians do it, because im doing it of free will volition rather than fear of an almighty being. The concious decision defines the characteristics of these things.
Yeah... no. You can't be famous for complex stuff and not be naturally really good at it.

The world's number 1 rule is chaos. People are going to think in manners unthinkable to others. It's just to accept it and say "meh".

I myself would had been glad if I got famous for anything. Even if it was for brushing my teeth.
But I suppose it would get really old after awhile.

"The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." - Oscar Wilde

Personally, though, fame isn't something I'd want.
