He grunted again and again at the wounds, but only felt slightly woozy from blood loss, as well as shocked, due to the fact that he was unaccustomed to feeling anything but invincible. In desperation, he threw his coat at her, tangling her up, and fired down at her once she fell.

Carmen continued to swing. As Lord English threw her coat on her, she slashed her way out of it and calmly backdashed to avoid the assault fire. The constant spellcasting and flying was beginning to take its toll as Carmen began to breathe heavily. She continued to float back trying to gain some space.

The coat wasn't ripped by Carmen's strikes, just hit aside, and it quickly did some kind of acrobatic fucking pirouette back onto English's shoulders. English's mind raced at an astronomical unit per minute, calculating multiple courses of action to take to defeat Carmen in his weakened state. Finally, he had it. With a roar, he shouted:

"YOUR MOTHER IS SO FAT. THAT WHEN SHE SITS AROUND THE HOUSE. SHE SITS AROUND THE HOUSE."

The insult, however, was merely a distraction, followed up by a one-two punch.

Carmen blinked blankly as the random insult made her eye twitch in annoyance. Eventually with a sigh, she sidestepped the first strike. However, in her current state, she couldn't move her way out of the second strike. She stabbed her still charged dagger into the fist, full force, as it slammed into her and managed to keep her grip on her blade as she flew back, causing the dagger to be removed a bit nastily from English's fist.

The force caused her to slide back a good amount as she continued to pant. [color=bb0066] Ugh.... I've got to try and end this... I've begun to act like some classless buffoon... This thing's stupidity is beginning to rub off on me. [/color]

EMily and Gwen got up from their beds. They had preocuppied themselves throughout each day by either reading, walking, or some form of Thai Chi. After a good stretch, they went over to the pub to see if there was any new matches going on.

Gold pulled himself out of bed, and wandered over to the lounge.

James was sitting crosslegged on the floor with his P9 submachine gun dismantled in front of him, scrubbing out the barrel with a cloth on a ramrod.

"Afternoon." He called without turning around, hearing the footsteps at the door.

Dravyen stood with his hands folded behind his back, calmly staring at the screen depicting the current arena events. He turned slightly on hearing the Mason sisters approach.

OOC: Drayven is a High Elf with copper coloured hair, regal purple robes and a general lordly appearance, by the way.

EMily and Gwen spotted Gold. From his soldier-apparel it looked as though he might remain silent even if they tried to talk. They waved at him from afar to see if he was a friendly.

<color=blue>"H-hello?" EMily said, trying to establish a conversation. Gwen wasn't particularly interested, so her half-lid eyes wandered around the lounge.

Gold smiled, and his eyes glowed a dull blue. "Well hello there m'dear. What can I do for ya today?"

<color=blue>"Oh, hi! I just wanted to make your acquaintance. My name's EMily." She made a coy smile, seeing as how Gold wasn't a hostile human. Her eyes closed to make a bright face, accentuating her eyelashes. When she opened them back up, she noticed Gold's eyes. <color=blue>"I didn't know glowing blue was in this season." She joked.

<color=purple>"Blue in general is always in for her."

Finishing his maintenance, James reassembled his P90, snapping the parts together one by one with a series of quick, expert movements. Looping the strap over his shoulders, he got to his feet and leaned against the wall, lighting a cigarette and casually surveying EMily, Gwen, Gold and Drayven.

Drayven's nose wrinkled slightly in distaste at the smell of the smoke, but he gave no other reaction.

Without prior knowledge, one would think that Gwen's perpetual half-lid eyes gave off the impression that she wasn't approachable. Nonetheless, she waved to James and smiled.

James grinned around his cigarette and gave Gwen one of his lax salutes.
"Hey there, brainiac. Haven't seen you two around for a while, what's been keeping you so busy?"

Spoiler: Gold

Few things to note. His eyes are metallic, not a normal shade. No hair grows on his head. And all along his face, and anywhere else you might get a glimpse except on his arms, thin white scar tissue has been etched on, and closer examining would note they definitely weren't accidental. the areas etched include most of his face. Still has normal facial features though, nose and ears. Some of the scars would probably be going into the socket of his eye before being covered by the new metal eyes.

Gold chuckled, and rubbed under one of his eyes. "Yeah, just trying out whats in vogue, you know? Name's Gold. Nice to meet you." gold extended a hand in greeting.

<color=purple>"Not much really. We've been trying to keep ourselves fit, so we don't go vegetating all day. We've been watching various matches all the while having our computers quantify the information about the portal we figured would be important."

<color=blue>"Hello Gold. Nice to meet you." She shook his hand. <color=blue>"By the way, is Gold a nickname? Although that would be quite an neat choice for a real name for a baby."

A woman with a white fedora found herself in the dark room. As she walked through, her room was a simple and comfortable one, even having a small set of large teddy bears lined up against the way. She chuckled a bit at the display before walking out and eventually fumbling her way into the lounge, saying nothing for the moment.
