[color=80bb00] "...Eh? Great, I'm in an arena probably run by crackpots..." [/color] The slimegirl stood up to her full height of 6' and shook her legs out a bit before looking to Solaris. [color=80bb00] "...and no one can leave. I'm starting to wish I had stayed asleep..." [/color] After letting out a small sigh, she looked to Solaris and nodded. [color=80bb00] "My name is Pix, and I'm a slime girl... I'd give you a more technical name, but sadly, no one's come up with one yet that doesn't sound like a five-year old would've come up with it. May I have you name?" [/color] Pix said fluidly.

 

[Chungus]

"I'm Solaris." Solaris answered, looking up to the slime girl, now identifiable as Pix, as she rose to her full height, being some amount shorter without her high heels to boost her height. In most cases, she would have offered to shake hands, but refrained from doing so, not wanting to get slime over her gloves. "I'm wondering, though. You appeared here in a different place then where most, if not all, of the other people make their entry. Maybe this change can give us any clues as to how to get out of this place..." She said, mostly musing aloud.

[color=80bb00] "...So I'm an oddity?" [/color] Pix said, tilting her head. [color=80bb00] "...I see..." [/color] She seemed to go into thought as she began to exit the lockers.

 

[Chungus]

"From what I understand, yes." Solaris said in return, following Pix out of the locker room, having little reason to stay. "I only appeared her a few hours ago myself, however, so it might be a little to early to say for sure." She added, then paused as she watched Pix move. "If I might ask, how are you held together?" She asked, wishing she had brought a recording device with her.

Pix looked back blinking a bit. [color=80bb00] "...How am I held together? ...OH." [/color] She seemed a small bit confused, but snapped her fingers as she realized what Solaris meant. [color=80bb00] "My kind can shape themselves in lots of ways..." [/color] As she said this, Pix's form shrank to that of a small 13-year old goo girl wearing a sundress and then reverted back to her normal 30-year old form. [color=80bb00] "We can do this due to a membrane we all innately have. It's the first thing a slime learns, even before learning how to move." [/color] Pix then poked her elbow and Solaris would see the form of the arm was pushed in like it was a balloon. On a normal human it would seem horribly painful, but Pix seemed to not care in the slightest as she demonstrated.

"So, you are a sort of shapeshifter, then, as I first though..." Solaris commented upon hearing Pix's first statement. Upon hearing Pix's second statement, Solaris moved a hand infront of her mouth, with the thumb of which she rubbed her cheeck as she seemed to be in thought, where in actuality, she was just covering up a small smirk. "I see..." Now what would happen if this membrane gets all torn up? Would you bleed, or just ooze? Seeing Pix push her elbow in, Solaris wiped the smirk of her face, and lowered her head, looking on curiously. "Hmm. Looks like you'll have a bit of an advantage over those who use blunt weapons." She commented, looking back to Pix's face. "Or doesn't it work like that?"

[color=80bb00] "It can work like that..." [/color] Pix said, rubbed the back of her head [color=80bb00] "...Or it ends up being that the force is so large, it passes through the membrane and gets stuck in my body. It's kind of funny seeing that happen and the people trying to attack me get all flustered and paniced." [/color] The slime girl chuckled a bit, her form vibrating a small bit along with her laughing.

 

[Chungus]

"From what I understood, this membrane amounts to your skin, so won't having it broken, especially so violently, be rather painful?" Solaris questioned, disappointed by the prospect by breaking the membrane not being akin to a wound afterall. Turning towards the direction of the lounge, she began walking in that direction. "Oh, and the lounge is this way. That's where we spend most of our time if we're not fighting."

[color=80bb00] "It would be if I didn't allow my membrane to suck in the weapon in the first place. But yeah... oozing out it never quite fun. It's not hard to reform yourself afterward, but get smacked around enough times and continued cohesion becomes basically impossible. That's like being dead for a slime." [/color] Pix then tilted her head a bit. [color=80bb00] "Hmmm... a lounge? At least they're treating the prisoners around here nicely..." [/color] She said as she followed after Solaris.

"I see." Why, thank you for revealing that to me. Most kind. I'll be sure to strike you repeatedly if you face me. "Well, fortunately, I've yet to see anyone here use a blunt weapon, save for one fighter, whose fists can be considdered that. Most of everyone I've seen so far used guns." Solaris commented as she walked into the lounge. "If I might ask, how would you fight? Considdering you were hardly alarmed upon learning you're expected to fight, I can only imagine you're no stranger to it." She commented, turning back to Pix. "And, yes. The lounge is nice enough, if a bit low on entertainment."

Pix looked down to Solaris and sighed a bit to herself. [color=80bb00] "...That.... sucks. And let me guess, they've got magic users too?" [/color] The slime girl's mood sank visually before Solaris asked her next question. [color=80bb00] "Oh... well, that's where the shapeshifting comes in." [/color] She replied before her right arm morphed into a replica hammer.

 

[Chungus]

"I haven't seen anyone use any magic, So I can't say." Solaris answered, shaking her head lightly. Once Pix's right arm took on the shape of a hammer, Solaris tried to poke it. "If you change your body like this in order to fight, wouldn't you just increase the risk of rupturing this membrane?" She asked, regardless of wherther or not Pix would alow the makeshift weapon to be poked.

Oddly enough, the hammer would feel much harder than Pix's body did as Solaris poked it. [color=80bb00] "It would if we weren't able to harden ourselves up a bit. Only downside is we get a lot easier to hurt when hit anywhere but the weaponized area." [/color] Pix said, smiling a little proudly as she explained. As Solaris poked, she'd also notice that the hammer wouldn't have left a trace of slime on her finger. Once the duo walked into the lounge, Pix's hammer arm reverted back to her normal arm. If Solaris continued poking at her, there would be no trace of slime even as she touched Pix's normal form.

After poking the hammer, Solaris looked to her finger, noting the lack of slime on it. After the initial poke, Solaris didn't poke Pix more. You just love running your mouth, don't you? But loose lips sink ships. "Those sound like useful abilities to have. I wish I could do anything like it, if I must be honest." Solaris commented with a small smile. "Can you mold yourself into any shape, or just a select number of things?"

[color=80bb00] "Hmmm.... Well, yeah, I can basically mold into anything I can think of... So long as it's not overly large." [/color] Pix stated, smiling a bit. [color=80bb00] "I guess so, but since I told you a lot about me, why don't you tell me about you?" [/color] She said, sitting on a couch nearby and looking to Solaris expectantly.

Solaris sat down on the couch, on the other end of where Pix sat, and crossed her legs before looking back to Pix. "Well, no matter how you look at it, there isn't a lot to tell. I'm no fighter, and I live a quiet life... So don't expect anything exciting." She stated, then paused. tilting her head slightly. "What would you like to know about?"

Pix smiled a bit. [color=80bb00] "Something you think is equivalent to all the information I just told you about yourself. I'll probably just keep prodding you for more info if I'm not feeling quite satisfied with it yet." [/color]

"Right..." You won't get anywhere if you do. "Well, as far as combat effectiveness goes; I've had basic self defence training, so I know some hand-to-hand fighting moves. Mostly, this is striking weak points in the body, but I know some moves for disarming an attacker, too. That aside, I know how to handle a pistol, in theory, but I've never fired one. And that's just about it." She explained, then paused for a moment. "More personally, I was born in Central City, the capital of Amestris, and lived there my entire live. I used to be a journalist, but resigned about a year ago. For reasons I won't get in to. Is that about enough to sate your curiousity?"

Pix tilted her head as she listened to Solaris' little backstory. Afterward, Pix still had her head tilted, looking more than unsatisfied. [color=80bb00] "A journalist? What were the kinds of stories you covered? What kind of place is Amestris? How was magic used there, since you spoke like you knew about it a little earlier?" [/color] She interrogated, face oddly calculating.

"I covered whatever I thought would help me climb the editorial ladder, so big stories, although I shied away from reporting from warzones. The biggest story would have been about a serial killer, targeting speciffic military personel. Although the state wasn't too fond of the idea of that story getting out, so I was shut down." Solaris answered as she returned Pix's gaze, noting her expression. "And Amestris is a country of variation. The nation grew as it almagated neighbouring countries, as such, both the climate and culture is diverse. It's also the world's largest alchemical power, being at the forefront on that area. And I, personally, know nothing of magic. My brother accidently traveled to another dimention not long ago. I heard of it from him after he returned."

As she looked to Solaris, Pix would be hard-pressed to read Solaris, the only notable thing being that her were rather focused on Pix's face.
