OOC: @Gear It's... not, really. In fact, I don't remember anything in Deus Ex being very funny.

Jensen glanced to the side at the sound of the voice, but saw no one. He frowned and began to look back to the window, before looking down on an impulse. When he saw the Moogle creature he almost gaped in surprise.

"Uh... Jensen." He managed to say without stammering. "Are you... do you have something to do with this... place?"

Carmen cried out in pain as the blade dug into her back. She managed to stand back up and turn to face the Meta. [color=bb0066] Just then... he... [/color] She shuddered a bit as she held her dagger with both hands and pointed it at him.

 

[Kirke]

The Meta groweled menacingly, time returning to normal, and walked towards Carmen, sheathing his brute-shot and laying into her with a heavy punch.

Carmen winced a bit as she moved to parry Meta's strike with her dagger hand, her back wound still caused drops of black blood to drop. Taking her free hand off, she shoved a palm into the Meta's midsection before casting Greed, sapping some energy from Meta and then blasting him away with some wind.

 

[Kirke]

The Meta landed five meters away, quickly getting up again. He took his brute-shot and fired off a pair of grenades at the ground where Carmen stood, while advancing.

Since the spell didn't fully heal her back wound, Carmen brought up her dagger to use her magic guard, not wanting to aggravate it more. The grenades caused her to get shoved back and the guard circle fizzled and disappeared. She landed on her feet and waited, contemplating the next move. [color=bb0066] I won't be able to guard a blast like that again without recharging... Looks like I'll need to take him out head on... [/color]

 

[Kirke]

The Meta sheathed his brute-shot and ran forward, leaping up in the air and coming down on Carmen with an extremely powerful punch.
OoC: Just to amplify how scary The Meta is, check out some of his growls and such. They're honestly inhuman.

Carmen managed to keep herself calm enough to sidestep the leaping punch. She countered by stabbing toward Meta's ribs with her dagger, no longer buffed by Anger.

When the Meta landed, the ground beneath his fist cracked slightly. The dagger penetrated his armour, though not by much, making the Meta growl in annoyance and pain. He responded with a series of swings, always advancing.

@Berk: Yes sorry, should have mentioned that I went for supper.

"Oh no sir, I am a mailman, kupo." Mogelton tipped his cap, his little wings shifting ever so slightly. "I do not know exactly what this place is. Only that I must deliver this parcel." He said as he reached into the satchel, pulling out a small box.

Noting the ground cracking under Meta's fist, Carmen became a bit more cautious of his punches. She managed to dodge a few of them, but one caught her dead in the face sending her spinning backward. She landed on the ground and struggled to get up, the punch leaving her a bit dizzy.

The Meta quickly approached Carmen and placed a boot against stomach/back, using his great weight to pin her down.

As Meta stomped on her midsection, she screamed as coughed up a little more blood. In a last ditch effort, she extended her hand and casted Violence again, trying to get the man off of her.

 

[Kirke]

OoC: @Dot: What does Violence do? And can it be blocked by an energy shield?

"Ah. A...mailman. Right." Jensen said, more to himself than Mogelton. "What exactly are you? Besides a mailman, I mean."

@Kirke: It's a high-damage dark spell and it knocks people back from close range. If the shield's strong enough, it can definitely be blocked.

OoCDot: Would "able to absorb several shotgun blasts at close range" count as powerful enough?

@Kirke: Yup. Violence would be equivalent to like 4 blasts from long range and 6 blasts from close (< 2 meters.)

Mogelton's ears perked up, the puff ball giggling as he was asked what he was. Mogelton put both his hands on the sides of his uniform, and pulled them both downwards in the classic business sense. "I am a Moogle sir, kupo." He stated very business-like.
