She looked at Selim for a moment, her eyes blinking, the eyelids coming from the outer edge to the inner instead of the top, a clear membrane. She slowly nodded after a short time. "III ccaann. Caann yyooouu SSeelliim?"

As it had been before, it looked like she had to put in a bit of effort to get the words out.

Having been looking to Vera when Nanami spoke, Selim didn't notice Nanami's eyelids closing from the side, only looking back to Nanami when she spoke. [color=915f6d]"Me? No."[/color] He answered, shaking his head slightly. [color=915f6d]"I wish I could, though... It's scary in the dark."[/color] He explained. He didn't seem to realize her struggling with the language.

Rex decided that Selim wasn't hurt or in danger, so he could step back and let the kid do as he liked for now.

"Try it out sometime." Kenna said, getting up, stretching, and leaving the lounge. She thought she heard something from the locker room, and went over.

As Kenna left the lounge and made her way to the locker rooms, the same unsettling, forboding feeling that she felt when in the same room as Solaris crept up in the back of her head, and the further she approached, the more pronounced it became. When she reached the hallway Selim was in, what was unsettling became downright disturbing and oppressive.

Selim didn't seem to notice Kenna approach, however, still looking up towards Nanami.

"Rrriighhtt. III uunndderrsstandd." She said with a nod. Wanting to continue her search for Vanessa, Nanami was about to take her leave from the three when Kenna stepped into the locker room, which made Nanami stop dead in her tracks. Of the people she's met here so far, this woman alone seemed to be familiar, although she didn't know exactly why. She knew she'd never been introduced, but the look up her seemed very familiar.

"Wwhoo aarree yyouu? Yyyouu ffammillliarr." She said to the new'ish' woman.

Kenna slowly grimaced and slowed her walking speed as she closed in on the locker room, feeling oddly unsettled. She stopped just inside the entrance, not entirely comfortable, but Nanami speaking to her got her attention. She looked at the fish-woman. "Uh... I'm Kenna. I'm sorry, but I don't think we've met."

"III aamm Nnnannammii." Nanami introduced herself, her nearly black eyes looking at Kenna, still trying to see if it was the same Kenna. She looked right, but she didn't seem to know her. It was right that they hadn't ever introduced each other, but Nanami was sure it was the same person she'd seen on the manor island more than a year's time ago.

"Wee mmmeett ffasst, nnott ttallk, bbutt sseee." She tried to explain. "Oonn iissllaandd?" She tried to refresh Kenna's memory.

"I'm Kenna." Kenna said, then was quiet for a second, figuring out what Nanami was saying. "I've never been to an island..."

Selim continued to look to Nanami for a moment, and opened his mouth, looking like he was about to say something when Nanami turned and spoke to Kenna. He gave Kenna a small wave, but kept quiet as the two talked knowing it was rude to butt into conversations.

"Kkeenna noot oonn iissllannd?" She replied, striking a thinking pose, her barbed finger near her mouth. "Bbutt Kkeennaa wwaass? Yyoouu nnoott Kkeennaa?" She tried to put everything together, although it seemed like she was having some issues with it, not really having enough of a grasp of different dimensions to think there could be multiple Kennas.

"No, I'm Kenna. I'm sorry, but you must be thinking of someone else." Kenna said, leaning against the wall.

Nanami tilted her head slightly, not sure if that was right, but there was no way to prove that this was the case, she had only seen the other Kenna, never really talking with her. She blinked once more, a transparent membrane coming from the outer part of the eye to the inner part before nodding slowly. "III aamm ssorryy Kkeennaa, III sseeen nnoott ssaamme Kkeenna." She replied.

"Uh... ok." Kenna said, kinda confused about what Nanami meant but deciding not to pursue the matter further.

[/color] Vera said toward the little boy, before tilting her head and having question marks appear in her blank irises. [color=00aa44] "Inquiring why this unit's speaking patterns seem to incite humor." [/color]

"I don't think we're all that similar." Rex said to Vera.

[color=915f6d]"Alloys... Alloys... That's what metals and stuff are made of, right? If so, then I guess?"[/color] Selim responded, looking back to Vera and obviously not sounding very certain. [color=915f6d]"And synthettic magic? Synthettic means fake right? So if you have fake magic, does this mean your like a magician? Can you do card tricks and pull a rabbit out of a hat?"[/color] He asked, seeming to perking up at the mention of Vera possibly being a magician.

When Vera asked why Selim thought the way she talked amused him, he seemed to settle down some, humming softly as he thought on how to explain his feelings. Just when Selim was about to try and explain why, he noticed the question marks appearing in Vera's glowing eyes, whereupon he gasped excitedly. [color=915f6d]"Wooow~! That's so cool!"[/color] He exclaimed, approached Vera closer and looking up to her eyes with starry-eyed amazement.

Vera looked up to Rex and tilted her head. [color=00aa44] "Inquiring reasoning behind that conclusion." [/color] She asked, the question marks now looking straight to Rex. Turning back down to Selim, Vera nodded. [color=00aa44] "This unit cannot perform parlor tricks as instinctively identified. Now initiating demonstration protocol." [/color] With this, Vera held up her sword and gripped it, the blue lights on her arms moving much faster as the sword soon had arcs of electricity going up and down its length. After a few moments of this, the sword stopped conducting and Vera's arm soon got to a less excited state. [color=00aa44] "Subject's definition of 'alloy' has been deemed sufficient. Inquiring why subject seems uncertain of their explanation. Also inquiring why subject is staring into unit's eyes so deeply." [/color] After her two inquiries, Vera seemed to lean back a small bit and her cheeks got a slight bit pink.

"Well I sure as hell don't talk like you." Rex said to Vera with a grin.
