[color=00aa44] "Unit... is using a photo in its memory banks as a basis for the drawing." [/color] Vera said as she continued drawing. [color=00aa44] "Protocol involves creating photo in memory, adjusting resolutions, and transposing the relevant details of photo onto the paper." [/color] She said, as she continued.

Pix nodded as she finally slowed down and let out a sigh of relief. [color=80bb00] "Alright... Think I got it all out of my system for now... Let's get back to doing things." [/color] She said as she began to move toward Solaris.

 

[Chungus]

With Pix indicating she was finished stretching her legs, Solaris pushed off the wall, and walked to meet Pix. "We'll still need to get our wall repaired. So first things first, we'll drill the section we need from the same place we took the door from, and have our test dummy repair things with it." She stated as she neared Pix and spread out her arms. "After that, there are a few thing I want to test out. That last fight gave me a few ideas."

[color=915f6d]"Oh, you are? Well, that's just cheating, Miss Robot!"[/color] Selim remarked jokingly as he looked from the drawing, to Vera, a small smile appearing on his face. [color=915f6d]"So... Why'd you choose to draw this?"[/color] He asked next, after a short pause, looking back to the drawing again.

[color=80bb00] "Hmmm... Gotcha." [/color] Pix said as she flowed onto Solaris and assumed her necklace form. [color=80bb00] "I'll try not to kill her again then." [/color]

Vera pouted and crossed her arms, pausing her drawing momentarily. [color=00aa44] "Unit was only doing what it was instructed to! Inquiring how that falls under definition of 'cheating'." [/color] She sighed a bit before looking back to Selim. [color=00aa44] "Image was the first thing that came to unit's mind, so it drew as if it saw fit. Inquiring if there is an issue with unit's choice in subject matter." [/color]

 

[Chungus]

"Well, that's good. Even a naive one like her won't believe the little excuse I used for our 'accident' a second time. At least, not so soon after the first accident happened." Solaris commented as she began makong her way back to the suites.

As Vera crossed her arms arms and pouted, Selim chuckled, and shook his head while holding up his hands defensively. [color=915f6d]"Only joking, Miss Robot."[/color] He said, before lowering his hands again, and sticking his tongue out while making a [color=915f6d]"Bleh!"[/color] sound.

[color=915f6d]"No, there's nothing wrong with your choice. It's fine. I was just wondering, that's all."[/color] After saying that, a smile grew over Selim's face as he thought of something. [color=915f6d]"Know what would be cool, though? If you drew yourself, drawing yourself, drawing yourself... And this goes on foreeeever!"[/color]

[color=80bb00] "Yeah... I got that, so what are we testing out once we find little miss Fedora?" [/color] Pix asked, the necklace seeming to vibrate as she spoke.

Vera blinked before repeating what Selim did to her with the [color=00aa44] "Bleh!" [/color] sound included. [color=00aa44] "Unit is not entirely sure of choice either... but creating drawing of drawing self of unit drawing self would be interesting.... Calculating image..." [/color]

 

[Chungus]

"Well, some new cues to tell you how to attack, for one. We had to rely on verbal cues too much in that last battle. Then I want to see if I can use you for more things on top of attack, defence, and transmutation. That we swung that piece of rock around gave me the idea of you serving as a grapling hook, for example." Solaris explained.

Making her way to the suites, Solaris walked back to the suite she had taken the door from, then pointed pointed to the section in the wall there the latch of the lock would slide in to. "Can you drill into the wall so that part there come loose?"

Selim cracked a wry smile as Vera repeated his action, before looking to the, then looking back to Vera again. [color=915f6d]"Miss Robot, why do you call yourself it, instead of 'I' and 'me' and stuff?"[/color]

[color=80bb00] "Aye, aye." [/color] Pix said casually as a strand shot out and began to drill as silently as it could into the wall. As such the process would take a bit of time. [color=80bb00] "So, propelling you every which way, huh? That seems like fun... And I'm open for more signals, but you'll need to keep them being too overt. Can't let things be a dead giveaway." [/color]

[color=00aa44] "Unit's not exactly sure..." [/color] Vera said, as she continued trying to draw. [color=00aa44] "Unit was just programmed to function in this manner. As such, unit cannot deviate from the protocols it understands. Isn't it the same with subject and the protocols it learns in school?" [/color]

 

[Chungus]

"Yes, I've noticed how easily predictable the attacks were when we fought the knight. I can't think of a way to tell you where to attack without pointing to it, however..." Solaris commented, wrapping her arms around her waist as she stood by and waited for Pix to drill the section out.

[color=915f6d]"Not really, no. If I learn something in schook, but later learn something to do it better, then I'm not going to keep using the old way of doing it. That would just be silly."[/color] Selim answered, shaking his head lightly. [color=915f6d]"Isn't it annoying? To have someone say you can only do a thing one way?"[/color]

Vera shrugged to herself as she continued drawing. [color=00aa44] "Unit hasn't had much problem with following protocol. Unit would have little idea on how to approach problems with knowing the protocol before hand..." [/color]

After a while, Pix would finally rip the piece of the wall and slowly bring it down to the floor. [color=80bb00] "Guessing you don't have anything for telepathy, or maybe we can try to be a little more subtle..." [/color]

 

[Chungus]

"Telepathy? No, I don't, unfortunately." Solaris answered. When Pix finished drilling, and laying the section on the ground, Solaris crouched down, and picked the piece up, rising to her full height as she went. "More sublte signs... Hmm... Well, I'd suggest you firing at whatever it is I'm looking at, but this would mean my moving my head a lot, thus running into scenarios where an enemy counter attacks, and me not being able to react soon enough."

[color=915f6d]"Well... a protocol is you learning something, right? So, if you've learned something new, then it's up to you to decide if this new way would work better for whatever it is you're doing at the time, or if your old way would work better."[/color] Selim commented. Crouching down, Selim reached under the desk, and pulled out his toy box, and began to rummage through it after removing the lid. [color=915f6d]"Dad says it's always a good idea to look at a problem from more then one angle."[/color]

[color=80bb00] "Right.... Maybe it could be a movement more subtle, like shifting your back foot to point where you want me to aim." [/color] Pix suggested as Solaris walked along.

Vera blinked a bit before nodding. [color=00aa44] "Unit realizes that is the most logical way to go about solving problems. But unit can't edit its own code and disobeying protocol marks the unit as a rouge. Unit will be exterminated on sight if found my her manufacturer or its agents." [/color]

 

[Chungus]

"Then lack of accuracy would be an issue, especially since I won't be able to point up without comprimising balance." Solaris pointed out, blowing a small sigh after. "So, as I've said, it might not be ideal, but I think indicating a target by pointing my arm at it is the best we can do."

Reaching the suite, Solaris crouched down again to set the block down against a wall, then turned to her right. "Right... Let's go find our little repairman." With that said, Solaris began walking towards Ness' suite.

Upon hearing Vera's response, Selim was quiet for a moment, seeming to think on what Vera's words meant, before his mood seemed to sink. [color=915f6d]"Oh..."[/color] Was his only initial response. Standing up, Selim walked back to Vera, and patted her on the shoulder. [color=915f6d]"I'm sorry to hear that, Miss Robot..."[/color]

Vera shrugged once again. [color=00aa44] "Unit's manufacturers tend not to be evil or aggressive, so unit sees no reason to disobey them yet." [/color] As she spoke her drawings, slowly began to look like a divided by zero drawing.

Pix chuckled a bit. [color=80bb00] "We'll come up with something down the line... eventually..." [/color] As the duo walked over toward Ness' suite, they'd see the door was locked. There was nothing audible from the other side of the door.

 

[Chungus]

Seeing the door being closed, Solaris approached the door, and knocked on it. "Vanessa? Are you in here?" She called out.

[color=915f6d]"Not evil? But they'll kill you if you do something they don't like!"[/color] Selim exclaimed with something of an incredulous tone. Soon after, however, he blew a small sigh. [color=915f6d]"But I guess if you're okay with that..."[/color] After a short pause, Selim looked back down to the drawing, and leaned over the desk, closer to it, as it had gotten to the point where he couldn't make out the finer details from where he stood.

There would be no answer from the door as it was knocked on.

[color=00aa44] "Unit is property of the manufacturers." [/color] Vera said as she continued drawing. It would look just like Selim has requested, a drawing over Vera drawing a picture of Vera drawing a picture of Vera.

...Repeat until there's a small mess of black marks in a corner of the paper.

[color=00aa44] "Has unit performed to adequate levels...?" [/color]

 

[Chungus]

When there was no response, Solaris continued waiting for a few moment second, before turning away, and walking towards the lounge. "Well... She's just slept, so I guess our repairman isn't home. Let's check the lounge..." Unless stopped on the way, Solaris would make her way to and enter the lounge, looking around once there.

Selim gave no response to Vera's first comment, not seeming to hear as he gazed into the drawing, looking over the near endless drawings of Vera. He was silent for a long while, before laughing, and holding the drawing up. [color=915f6d]"This. Is. Awesome!"[/color] He exclaimed excitedly. Laying the drawing down again, Selim looked to Vera, and shook his hands about. [color=915f6d]"The drawing is awesome! It seems to just go on forever, and everything just looks so real!! Can I keep it, Miss Robot?"[/color]

As Solaris looked, she'd see that the lounge was currently empty. The screens would also show that no one was currently fighting in the Arena.

Vera blinked casually before nodding, albeit slowly. [color=00aa44] "Unit can not find a reason to keep subject from taking ownership of drawing." [/color] She said, her head tilting a small bit.

 

[Chungus]

Entering the lounge, and finding no one, nor seeing anyone fighting in the arena, Solaris looked around in mild confusion. "This... is odd. No one is killing one another, nor wasting their time here... Where has everyone gone?" She said, largely speaking to herself as she stepped further into the room.

When Vera said yes to his question of keeping the drawing, Selim squeed slightly, and gave Vera a hug. [color=915f6d]"Oh, wow! Thanks, Miss Robot! You're the best!"[/color] He exclaimed happily.

[color=80bb00] "Who knows...." [/color] Pix said, chiming in as she notice no one in the room. [color=80bb00] "Maybe the higher-ups are trying to screw with us....?" [/color]

Vera blinked and moved her arms in surprise as Selim hugged her so suddenly. After blinking a few more times, Vera awkwardly mimicked the motion, wrapping her arms around Selim. He'd notice that Vera's body was rather cold, but seemed to have a heartbeat as he held himself close.

 

[Chungus]

Solaris hummed for a moment in response to Pix, continuing looking around in confusion for a moment, before lightly shaking her head, and running a hand through her hair. "Although not imposible, it's unlikely... Let's look around a little more before jumping to conclusions." She answered, before turning around and leaving the lounge again.

Not knowing any better, Selim made no comments on hearing Vera seemed to have a beating heart, believing this was normal. When Vera hugged him back, however, Selim shivered a little. [color=915f6d]"You're kinda cold, Miss Robot."[/color] He said with a small chuckle, letting go of Vera, and would take a step back after she let go also. [color=915f6d]"But I guess that makes sense, you being made out of metal, and all."[/color]
