Homer's shot successfully hit the swordsman, causing him to stumble and fall before he could slash at Homer. Since both archers were focused on Lucina, Homer would be able to heal himself without being attacked more.
Lucina hit the left archer in the leg, causing her to drop below the parapet. She began patching her leg up, enough to stand and shoot again. This would leave Lucina open to the other swordsman, however, who would come up on her right hand side and attempt to stab her. At the same time, the archer on the right hand wall would shoot at Lucina.

Lucina tried to duck behind cover to avoid the arrow, but this left her vulnerable to the swordsman, unless Homer's aim struck true.

Homer's shot hit the swordsman in the shoulder, however this put him in a more vulnerable position. Both archers shot at Homer, when he emerged from cover to shoot at the swordsman attacking Lucina.
The swordsman standing over Lucina yelled in pain, however the bullet had hit his left shoulder, thus didn't affect his sword arm. He would therefore bring his sword up, and swing it down at Lucina's neck.

Lucina raised the rifle to try and block the sword swing, but it was more of a desperation move than a plan.

Homer shot the guy more, hoping to drop him.

Before the swordsman could hit Lucina, Homer's shot hit his head, causing him to fall to the ground. However, this put Homer in a more vulnerably position, and he would be hit in both the forearm and shoulder again, with arrows.

Lucina, seeing Homer get hit, ran over to him to pull him behind cover.

Thankfully the ragnades were essentially infinit and rechargeable, so he pulled the arrows out and healed himself.

Another arrow, shot from the right, bounced off the van near Homer, harmlessly. However, the arrow shot by the archer on the left hit Lucina in the back as she ran over to Homer. The wound wouldn't be immediately fatal, but would be quite serious.

Homer reloaded his rifle and fired at both archers to get them to duck.

Homer's shot hit the archer on the right square between the eyes, killing him before he could shoot again. Homer's other shot was entirely unnecessary, however; the archer on the left had lost so much blood, she toppled over the battlements and landed, face-first, on the cobblestones below.

Homer and Lucina have passed the first three waves!​

The arena slowly faded back to normal, the arrows vanishing. The system used to heal surviving combatants was activated, restoring Lucina and Homer to full health as the doors opened.

Homer brought up the idea of leaving the challenge fur now.

Lucina nodded, hurrying out of the arena.

A new combatant entered an empty arena. It was a male, humanoid figure, with one major difference between him and humans. On this man's back were two large, feathered wings. He stood a little under 2m tall, however the wings, when folded, increased his height by around 20cm. His eyes were yellow, and his hair a tawny brown, much like his feathers.
On the forearm of the man's left arm was a bracer, which had a screen on the back. His boots each had a simple mechanism on the side that would allow them to lower blades down below his feet. Additionally, there were two sheathed daggers on his outer legs.
