Dromaeus leered at the sight of blood welling up from the cuts on Diana's neck. Even though the blow hadn't struck deep, it made her look even more vulnerable to a man who sliced throats for a living. He skipped back and the forward again, evading her kick with the contemptuous ease of a very experienced swordsman. He now began to press forward, crowding Diana and flicking his sword out high and low, not going in for a killing blow but forcing her to remain on guard and concede ground steadily.
