All Seras got was a small nod in the affirmative.

Vera blinked a few times as she listened to both Selim and Rex. [color=00aa44] "....Are you suggesting that the manufacturer's protocols are incorrect?" [/color] She said after a while, her eyes narrowing a small bit.

 

[Chungus]

[color=915f6d]"I don't know..."[/color] Selim responded, sounding a little more glum as he averted his eyes away from Vera, and looked to the ground. He kept his silence for a moment, before looking back up again. [color=915f6d]"You're my friend... I just don't want you to die."[/color]

 

[Zepherus14]

"Nnott ddeatth, ffalll loosee." She restated. "III yyess." She said, not seeming to realize she'd said her acceptance rather poorly.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Yeah I am. Anybody that tells you to die for your mission isn't worth trusting. That's a decision you need to make on your own, not because it's what you're programed to do." Rex said with a nod.

"Please, I might be able to help you, but you need to tell me what is wrong." Seras said to Carmen.

 

[Chungus]

"I take it that means you accept." Solaris commented, turning away from Nanami, towards the exit of the lounge, then motioning for Nanami to follow her. "This way." With that said, Solaris left the lounge, and began making her way over to the locker rooms. On the way, she came across Seras looking Carmen over, but made no response to the two, aside from silently cursing there was yet another new arival that she would need to overcome.

Entering the locker room, Solaris stopped, and touched the faux transmutation circle, cueing Pix to mold herself around Solaris as the suit of armour. When it was done, Solaris made her way into the arena itself, walking to its center, before turning around.

Carmen looked into Seras' eyes for a moment or two, eyes still blank before she slowly shook her head. [color=bb0066] [small] "....This isn't something you can help with. Please... excuse me..." [/small] [/color] She tried to move away from Seras weakly and continue her wandering.

Vera shook her head in response. [color=00aa44] "Unit will not disobey manufacturer's protocols. ...True death or deactivation isn't possible in this space. There is no logical reason to deviate from the protocol as of yet." [/color] She said, though her face seemed to be somewhat conflicted, her eyes darting from side to side and her voice not sounding as robotic.

OoC: Later, got something to attend to.

As Nanami passed by Seras and Carmen, she thought she recognized them, but as she looked back to Solaris, Nanami realized she had already, and quickly had to catch up.

She headed into the arena after Solaris, briefly glancing at the doorway the chimera had come from the first time. Once inside, she stared at Solaris, getting into a defensive position as she wasn't sure what to expect from her.

"Well...Can I take you...somewhere? To your room? Is there someone else I can talk to?" Seras asked.

"I don't suppose you'll get any rewards for being that committed."

 

[Chungus]

With Nanami joining Solaris in the arena, the door the two came through closed, and the surroundings shifted to become a large grotto, dimly lit as light shined down through the various holes in the ceiling, form which several stalagtites hung. At the northen end of the grotto, the ground sloped slightly, leading to a submerged tunnel.

When the anouncer anounced the start of the battle, Solaris assumed a defensive position, turning her right shoulder more towards Nanami, and bending through her knees by a small margain, while spreading her weight evenly. With how heavy Nanami's spear looked, Solaris figured Nanami would likely be quite a bit stronger then herself, and so opted to stay at a distance. Nxtending her arm towards Nanami's chest, Solaris touched the faux transmutation circle, cueing Pix to shoot a sharp strand of goo towards it.

[color=915f6d]"What...?"[/color] Selim said, looking thoroughly confused at something Vera said. [color=915f6d]"You can't die here...? That doesn't really make a lot of sense, Miss Robot."[/color] He stated.

Nanami didn't take her eyes off of Solaris as the room seemed to change, although she welcomed the dimmed lighting, her eyes far more comfortable with dealing with this level. Nanami wasn't entirely sure what that armour was that Solaris had on her, but when the goo shot forth from it, she was ready. Despite the obvious weight the spear had, Nanami seemed to be able to wield it much like a regular spear for the most part, albeit a tad slower. Regardless her reaction time easily allowed her to spin the spear in such a way as to knock the piercing strike away from her, as she took a step herself in such a way that even if the spike made it through the parry, it would only make a glancing blow.

Depending on just how solid the spike was as a whole, Solaris might have been knocked off balance if the goo was completely solid from her to Nanami as Nanami parried.

The spear was only partially solid, with only the tip, and a little bit downwards from there being so. As such, when Nanami managed to parry the blow, it was simply knocked aside, leaving Solaris' footing as steady as it had been. With the spear knocked aside, Solaris tried to use it to whip Nanami, but Pix retracted the strand before she could.

Humming as she noted the ease with which Nanami wielded the spear, Solaris was glad she didn't opt to move in close, and wished to keep it that way. Pointing her arm towards Nanami again, Solaris made to touch the circle once more, but at the last moment, moved her aiming arm upwards, pointing towards one of the stalagtites some way infront of Nanami, before finally touching the circle. The strand shooting out, it struck the stalagtite at the midpoint, cracking the stone to an extend.

Nanami seeing Solaris pointing at her again halted for a moment, wanting to have good footing to get out of the way of the spike. Seeing Solaris point elsewhere, Nanami continued her advance, although she in a wider circle than simply heading straight for Solaris, since heading straight at her would be beneficial to someone wanting to stab people.

Hearing the slight impact of the spike hitting the stalagtite, Nanami confirmed that heading straight would be a bad idea.

She still wasn't sure exactly what this goo was, but she knew that she'd have to be careful with it.

 

[Chungus]

With Nanami advancing towards her, Solaris herself began moving, moving in a circling motion as well, keeping her right arm pointed up towards the stalagtite. [sub]"When that thing comes loose, grab it."[/sub] She said in a whisper, before touching the circle again. Another spear shot out from the arm, this one thicker then the previous ones. Striking the stalagtite, it was knocked loose, but Pix held on to it, wrapping the goo around the stalagtite near the pointed bit.

Needing to take hold of her right forearm to compensate for the added weight, Solaris swung the blunt end of the stalagtite towards Nanami's left side, intending for the blow to knock Nanami off-balance more then anything else.

Nanami still taking her time to move saw the stalactite coming far before Solaris got it moving towards her, mostly because Solaris bringing her other arm up was a dead giveaway something was up, or her whispering in the virtually silent room. She took a step forward, pivoting as she brought her spear blade down on the goo strand in front of the swinging weight.

The stalactite would harmlessly fling itself behind her, moreover the point at which Nanami struck Pix's goo with her blade would have dipped in temperature, it won't have frozen, but it might not flow quite as easily as before.

 

[Chungus]

With the goo strand severed, the part that wasn't still connected to Pix hit the floor, and lost its form, flowing into a puddle. While Pix wasn't too concerned with the strand being severed, the drop in temperature of the goo bothered her a great deal more, making the armour vibrate a bit as the stranded reeled back. The part of the goo that was thickened by the drop in temperature was moved to the inner upper arm by Pix, so to not have it affect the speed of future strands.

Circling around Nanami more as the strand retracted, Solaris kept her right arm pointed towards Nanami, and moving her left infront of the circle, not touching just yet. She moved the right arm around erratically to throw Nanami off, while keeping her eyes focused on Nanami's torso. [sub]"Feet..."[/sub] Solaris whispered, before quickly pointing downwards with her right arm without looking, and touching the circle, prompting Pix to shoot two thin spears towards Nanami's feet. While Solaris didn't aim, Pix did, and so the spears were fired with a good amount of accuracy.

When Solaris whispered again, Nanami stopped moving, not sure why she was talking, or what she was exactly saying. When she started moving her arm erratically Nanami started to look for other possible indicators of her intent. However when she brought her arm down to Nanami's feet with such purpose much like the other times before, Nanami quickly acted.

She brought her one foot back behind the first, and then brought her spear in front of the first foot. Pix's spike would be blocked by Nanami's spear, and would actually freeze this time since the impart would be much longer than a simple slice. Frost would actually fall from the closest point to the spear.

Nanami however would be slightly off-balance from this maneuver however.

With the goo strand being partially frozen, Pix began vibrating again, although this time far more intensely, so much so it produced a faint buzzing noise. Seeing Nanami was thrown-off balance, however, Solaris rushed forwards as the goo strands reeled back, the one that was frozen doing so more slowly. Sprinting towards Nanami, Solaris closed the distance between them rather quickly, and tried to thrust the palm of her right hand towards Nanami's chest.

While Solaris wasn't that much stronger then her slight frame indicated, that she thrusted whilst running towards Nanami added force to the blow.

Nanami wouldn't be able to fully recover from the dodge from before, so she wouldn't able to get out of the way in time. Solaris would be able to strike Nanami in the chest, sending her backwards.

However one thing she wasn't possibly anticipating the problem that with a charge attack, you will have follow through. As Solaris kept pushing, partially out of just reflexes to try to not fall down, and also to make sure Solaris wasn't getting away from her. As she touched her arm, there was a brief moment where nothing seemed to happen. Within a matter of seconds, the immediate area that Nanami had latched onto would have frozen.

Being grabbed by the arm, and being pulled down by Nanami, Solaris gritted her teeth. Recognising what Nanami was trying to do, Solaris pushed herself forwards with the remaining foot that was still on the ground, and slammed herself against Nanami to ensure Nanami would hit the ground first, unless Nanami could twist her body around before this happened.

With it not being her arm that was subjugated to the freezing, Solaris didn't respond to it. Pix however, began vibrating even more, violently, and even hissed in pain. With Solaris being so close to Nanami, this was probably a noise that wouldn't be missed.

Given the last few moments before the match would end, Nanami won't exactly notice that the sound was coming from Pix, as she just heard a sound. She knew it wasn't from Solaris, so she wasn't entirely sure what it was.

Regardless in the last few moment, Nanami unable to use her spear to prop herself back up, and Solaris diving onto her so Nanami couldn't simply pull her to the ground first, she used one last ace. Although far less pliable than regular old water, Nanami forced Pix to flow from Solaris outstretched hand, behind her and to the ground. Freezing it, the two would tumble sideways, both hitting the ground at virtually the same time as they each hit their own sides.
