"Huh...I guess it worked pretty well. I hardly noticed." Rex said. He didn't really know if he agreed with the idea of making robots that looked human.

In the arena, another new arrival emerged, a girl, roughly 1.67m tall, possibly in her early-to-mid teens. She had blue eyes, shoulder-length blonde hair, and wore a thick, buttoned up winter coat, white camo pants, and a pair of winter boots. In her left hand, she carried a black suitcase, that was almost larger then she was.

With a confused expression on her face, the girl looked around.

On the other side of the arena, a large warrior appeared. He was wearing a long chainmail tunic, ending at the elbows and halfway down his thighs. In his right hand was a hammer, with a large head and quite short grip, and in his right was a large wooden shield. Down his arms there were tattoos, or markings, shaped like lightning. He was wearing a round, tight-fitting helmet with eye and nose protection. "What is this, where am I?!", he called out, sounding angry and in-dignified at the world.

As the warrior appear, the girl - whose name is Idun - looked towards him, taking note of his appearance, and seeing he was just as taken aback as she was, only being more vocal about it. Not sure what to think of it all, Idun took a cautionary step back.

Not long after the warrior appeared, a breeze blew through the arena, after which stone structures around along its walls. Said structures were made of grey stone, and consisted of two large and often, uneven slabs, positioned some distance away form eachother, and a third slab laying on top of them, creating a doorway of sorts. Once all the structures had risen, grass grew from the floor, and the walls of the arena and ceiling faded, showing clear blue skies, and a meadow that stretched out into the infinite.

"[sub]Hva er dette galskap... ?"[/sub] The girl said under her breath, looking around with eye wide with shock. She tightened her grip on the handle of the suitcase.

"Two contestants have appeared, ready, fight!"

"This is some sort of contest it seems. Very well! But I would fight a warrior, not some girl!" He stepped forward, into the shade of the nearest stone.

Hearing the declaration of the announcer, Idun looked looked up and around, wondering where the voice came from. This didn't last long, as her gaze soon fell on her opponent, thinking that maybe that if she fought this man and won, she would be released. Unlikely as it seemed.

Setting down her suitcase vertically, Idun unbuttoned and threw off her coat, showing she had a fairly thick, muscular build. Under the coat, she was wore a black bodysuit with silver accents, of the like runners would wear, and over that bracers and elbow guards that looked to be part of a suit of modern combat armour in design. The pieces of armour were made of a metal mostly resembling gold, but had a sheen in all the colours of the rainbow on them, and seemed to give off faint light, although this was difficult to see in the brightly lit open field. The armour pieces were held fast by straps of velcro, woven through a buckle of the same material as the armour pieces themselves and overlapping onto themselves.

"Guess you'll get what you wish for... ." Idun muttered, mostly speaking to herself. Opening the suitcase, Idun pulled out a survival axe with a somewhat large axehead, and round shield, roughly 80cm across. Both were made of the same material as her armour pieces.

With her equipment retrieved, Idun turned to the warrior on the ball of her foot, kicking the suitcase to the side as she did.

"Hah! Perhaps this will still be a challenge, unlikely as it seems..." He grinned, and around him a thin mist began to go up. After only a few seconds, it had thickened to a fog that could hardly be seen through. Then, with a roar, he charged forward, and the fog was blasted at Idun with by a sudden gale.

As the fog began to build up, Idun's eyes narrow, focusing herself. Turning sideways to the warrior, Idun raised her shield, but not fully. Skjule? Egentlig? She began to move forwards, but stopped as the fog blew towards her in the form of a gale. Planting her left foot firmly in the ground, she stood fast, raising her axe slightly, and squinting her eyes to protect them from the winds.

Just when the fog cleared, the warrior, named Olof, came charging up. He ran with his large shield first, and his entire torso and arms were hidden behind it. Once he was close enough, he swung his hammer at Idun's right side, hiding his blow behind his shield until the last possible moment.

Her eyes moving to the direction she heard Olof's roar coming, they fixed on his silhouette as he charged through the fog. Preparing herself, she changed her footing in a position that would allow for quicker movement, while still bracing against the winds.

When she saw Olof swinging the hammer, Idun twisted her torso and moved her arm closer to it, cover herself with the shield. The hammer impacted against the shield, which generated a bright flash of sunlight.

Whole saved from harm, Idun was knocked off-balance by the blow, stumbling backwards. To steadily herself, Idun had light solidify into a small wedge behind her right foot as it came down. Pushing off this wedge, Idun moved her grip on the axe closer to the head, and swung at the fingers of Olof's hand in which he held the hammer, in a small and controlled strike.

The light wedge dissipated shorlty after Idun pushed off it.

Olof was blinded by the sudden sunlight, but instinctively pulled his weapon-arm back. Idun's blow thus hit the left side of his shield, biting into it. The force of the swing twisted Olof's grip of it, and he took a step forward, trying to trap his opponent's weapon where it couldn't be used. With the shield-edge now towards Idun, and the left side flush against his arm. He swung high with his hammer, aiming at the left side of Idun's head, and followed that up with a shield-punch against Idun's upper right arm.

With her axe lodged into the shield, and swing Olof raise his arm, Idun was forced to let go of her weapon and duck low to avoid the hammer swing, it soaring over her head. In a half-crouched position, and with her shield arm not in a position to block the incoming blow due to the shield's size, Idun raised her now empty right arm, blocking the shield punch with the bracer, and forcefully pushing it aside. As the rim of the shield connected to the bracer, another flash of light was generated, albeit a little dimmer them before.

Right after pushing Olof's shield away, Idun retaliated lunging upwards with her own shield raised. The blow would carry more force then her build would suggest she was capable of, being around the same level of force a hard kick from a large horse would yield.

Olof had no chance of blocking the blow, and flew two metres back when it connected. He landed on his back, skidding a bit before coming to a rest against a block of stone. He pushed himself up in a sitting position, letting go of his shield. He coughed and grimaced in pain - it was apparent that many ribs had been broken. "[small]You're not too bad, girlie. Plenty of strength in that arm of yours. Still, I am not beaten yet.[/small]", he said, raising his hammer into the air. The pattern of lightning down his right arm began to shine yellow, then sparks jumped from his hand to the head of his hammer. This went on for a moment or two, then he pointed the hammer at Idun, and a bolt of lightning shot out at her with a deafening thunder.

Coming out of the lunge after forcing Olof away, Idun steadied herself, her eyes fixed on Olof once more. Seeing the damage she had done to Olof, Idun lost focused, to an extend, not having meant to injure the man so. She snapped out of it when she saw him raising his hammer, which put her on edge, and seeing the sparks start to arc over the hammer, raised her shield at an angle where she could just see over it with her right eye. She would start to advance, while keeping an eye where Olof was aiming at

After Idun took a single step, the thunderbolt was fired. It impacted with the shield, oddly not conducting the electricity, sparing Idun from being fried. No scorch mark would be left where the bolt struck the shield, but the impact did generate another flash of light, as bright as it was when Olof first struck the shield.

The thunderous boom, however, left Idun stunned, standing wobbly on her feet, incapable of doing much more then keeping herself from falling over.

Olof looked shocked that the thunderbolt had not done more, but he quickly shook it off. He closed his eyes and focused on memories of his family, his love and pride for them. Placing his left hand on his chest, a healthy red light glowed from it. At the same time, he swung his hammer gently sideways, and a pillar near Idun creaked as it began tipping over towards here.

Registering the pillar moving from her peripheral vision, Idun looked towards it, seeing it tipping towards her. Not going to try and outrun the pillar with how shakily she stood on her feet, Idun extended her free arm out infront of her, manifesting a solid rainbow path under her feet, which quickly extended forward, curving up a little, and touching the ground again a metre and a half from where Idun stood.

She was carried along the rainbow path without need for movement on her part, only requiring her to keep her arm extended. Taken out of the pillar trajectory and touching down on the other end of the rainbow path, stumbling as she touched down, the path dissipated behind Idun. Idun then began to approach Olof in a hurried walk, almost looking drunk on how she swayed around, although as the ringing in her ears began to subside, her sense of balance began to return with it.

When reaching Olof, Idun would try to kick his hammer out of his hand with a kick aimed at the head, using a fair amount of force in doing so, but nothing extreme. If successful, she would bring the rim of her shield to Olof's throat.
