Homer Peron showed up in the usual fashion, and was sufficiently surprised by his surroundings. He quickly checked his equipment, then unknowingly wandered into an arena.

Kirstin had started to relax, when she was sent into the arena. Upon spotting the boy in front of her, she attempted to run away, only to have her exit blocked off by the doors. [color=cc3300]"Sorry about this!"[/color] Kirstin called out, as she removed the rifle from her back, and chambered a round.

Contestants Kirstin Paterson and Homer Peron have entered the arena! Ready, fight!​

The arena began changing around the pair of fighters, turning into a field covered in small craters and broken walls. Explosions created a barrier around the battlefield, preventing the combatants from escaping.

Homer looked at the woman curiously. She did not appear to be an Imperial, so he didn't really see her as an enemy. He became distracted by looking up at the sky as the booming voice came from nowhere. He continued to be astonished as the arena changed around him.

Kirstin took cover behind a wall, and peeked over it, her bright red hair contrasting with the brown and green of the around around her. She rested her gun on the wall, and slowly took aim. [color=cc3300]"I'm gonna give you five seconds to fight back, or at least hide!"[/color] she yelled.

Homer heard the woman yell at him and registered that he was in danger. Seeing this he looked around in a mild panic then dove into a nearby crater.

Kirstin kept her eyes on Homer as he hid, until he entered the crater. At that point, she was unable to see him. Kirstin ducked down under the wall, and began moving along it, towards the edge.

After a moment of preparing himself, Homer was back into soldier mode. He carefully crawled to the rim of the crater and peered around. When he didn't see Kirsten in the last spot she has been, he brought his own rifle up and started looking around for her.

Homer wouldn't see Kirstin as she moved, until she popped up over the wall again. She would quickly aim in Homer's general direction, and fire a shot. It would be unlikely to do more than graze Homer, if it even hit.

Homer ducked down again as the shot whizzed by and hit the ground behind him. He waited a second, then realized he was at a disadvantage, since this woman knew where he was. He popped up and fired a few shots to get her to duck down long enough for him to move. His shots were ment to get her into hiding, rather than actually hit her.

Kirstin had ducked while she chambered another round, and stayed down as Homer fired at her. Noting his weapon fired faster than hers, Kirstin swore and slung her rifle over her shoulder. She peeked around the wall, at the side rather than the top this time, to keep an eye on Homer. At the same time, she removed a Molotov cocktail from her belt and prepared to light it.

Seeing that she was not returning fire, Homer took the opportunity to climb out of the crater and dashed behind by a chest high rock fence. This happened to be the corner piece of a now destroyed wall, giving him maximum protection from the direction Kirsten was attacking him from.

Kirstin took careful aim as she lit the match on her makeshift incendiary, then lobbed it at the top of the wall Homer was behind. If she hit successfully, the turpentine inside the bottle would ignite and create a fireball over Homer's head. Additionally, broken glass and burning turps would likely fall onto Homer.

Homer was indeed scaled and wounded slightly by the hot glass shards, but he managed to avoid being set on fire. To deal with his wounds, he took out a ragnade and set it off. Kirsten would see a light blue haze come from behind the wall. Homer sighed as he was healed.

Kirstin was slightly confused as she saw the haze, not expecting that reaction. She assumed, however, it was a reaction between the fire and something on Homer's person. Believing him to be incapacitated, Kirstin drew her short sword and charged at the wall. Unless stopped by a well-placed bullet, Kirstin would vault the wall and attempt to stab Homer to death.

Homer again peeked over the wall and saw Kirsten charging him. In a slight panic, he emptied his clip at her. Unfortunately,he only had two shots left, and his aim was not perfect.

Homer's panicked shots grazed Kirstin, enough to draw blood but not enough to stop her. With a loud yell of pain and rage, Kirstin ran up to Homer. She would grab his collar and attempt to ram the blade of her sword into his head repeatedly.

Homer was frail by nature, so CQC was not his strong point. Even still, Kirsten striking at his head wasn't the most effective, so he had enough time as he moved his head to avoid the stabs. Unfortunately, in his panic all he could think to do was pull the shovel from his pack and swing it widely at Kirsten's head.

Seeing that stabbing at Homer's head wasn't doing much, and noticing him going for his shovel, Kirstin changed tactics. She would attempt to grab Homer's head and smash it into the wall, to daze him, then stab him in the chest. Her blade emitted a dull glow, its penetrative ability somewhat higher than most swords.
Unlike Homer, Kirstin's primary method of combat was CQC. Her body, hidden under her layers, was quite muscular, and she had experience fighting opponents in close quarters.

If Homer managed to get his shovel out before Kirstin could kill him, she would try to stop his swings by grabbing his wrist with her free hand.

Thankfully, the shovel was fairly easy to snap off from where it was strapped to his pack so he was able to bring it to bear quite quickly. He wasn't very strong, but was swinging a sharp and heavy piece of metal at the woman's head.

Kirstin attempted to grab Homer's wrist, holding his shovel back before he could strike her. At the same time, she began slashing violently at him, intending to cut him up. As she was likely larger than Homer, Kirstin would have an advantage in the fight.
