Hello, you may know me a bit from various RP's and I think it is time to whip out an RP that I have been working on for about five months now. My co-gm has phased off the planet so I will need someone to co-gm with me. With that in mind, an explanation.
Please read these in order as I put them in a way that would make it easiest to understand this new world. Because of finals, we will be starting at the end of may, I need people of various races to appear in this as well.
EDIT/DISCLAIMER: We will only accept 2-3 people per race and we need an even spread. If we have 4 people as Elseyad and 2 people for the other 2 races, I will have to tell 2 Elseyad that they can not participate, so it would be recommended to either make two sheets or spend some time on your sheet.
Nestled within the land of Isbar is the ancient and powerful city-state of Ophilia. Through their unrivaled mastery of both magic and technology the Ophilians became the most prosperous and advanced city in the civilized world. They built Ophilia into a collosal, domed city of gleaming metal and glowing arcan runes. Magic and technology littered the streets. A vast array of silver automatons, powered by magical crystals assisted the Ophilians in everyday life and defended their high, marble walls. The other city-states were jealous of the Ophilian's power and longed to learn their secrets for themselves, but the Ophilian's guarded them like a mother bear does her cubs. Foreigners were rarely allowed into Ophilia and when they were they were escorted everywhere. Still, the Ophilian's maintained good relations with the other cities, trading with them and even entertaining diplomats on rare occasions.
However, 8 years ago the Ophilians cut off all relations with the outside world. They closed their representatives and refused to answer any traders or foreign representatives. At first, the kings of the other city-states grew anxious, fearing the Ophilians were gathering themselves for a massive attack on the rest of Isbar. But the years went on and no attack came and everyone assumed that the Ophilians finally grew bored with the rest of the world and had abandoned it. Isbar moved on, and in the intervening years two city-states began to compete to fill the void; Arcoove and Bodner.
The Arcoovians pushed their natural affinity with magic to the limit, trying to match the arcan might of the Ophilians. Mysticism was woven into their everyday life and their armies marched with enchanted swords and arrows. The Bodneri on the other hand, prided themselves on their scientific insight and technological engineering, aspiring to the complex machinery of Ophilia. They used technology to ease their burdens and their forces utilized massive seige engines and crude guns. While they lacked their own city-state, the Elseyad, nomadic were-elves and traders, were wealthy and powerful in their own right. They travel from city to city, trading rare and exotic goods from all across Isbar. Despite their wealth, the Elseyad lack political unity and are often looked down on by the normal humans of Isbar and are rarely allowed in their cities.
A few months ago, an Elseyad trading caravan made its camp outside the great city of Ophilia. While the elders set up camp several of the younger were-elves explored the walls of the city, hoping to catch a glimpse inside. One of them, his name unknown, happened upon a secret passage into the city. He rushed backed to camp and showed several elders the way. The Elseyad were weary of breaking into the Ophilian city, but their curiousity and prospect for renewed trade with the Ophilians drove them on. Three Elseyad were chosen by their elders to investigate the tunnel and see if they could contact any of its citizens. The group soon discovered there were none. Even though it was the middle of the day the streets were empty and dead silent. The Elseyad rushed from building to building marvelling at the ornate, towering structures, hoping to find an Ophilian. After an hour of searching they gave up and decided to report back to the elders. As they made their way back to the tunnel they began to inspect the dead city further spying odd trinkets and mechanical wonders that they knew would bring their caravan much gold. As they snagged their loot they unknowingly activated a defensive automaton which was guarding the treasures of a paticular home. The mighty mechanical ran through one of the elves with its sword and chased the remaining two through the city back to the tunnel they came from. As it chased them it loosed blasts of magical enegery. One blast smashed into the tunnel as the first elf ran in, collapsing it behind him and leaving his companion to a quick but painful death. The final Elseyad divulged all that had happened in Ophilia and revealed the score of treasure he had uncovered. The caravan mourned the loss of the two youths but were excited by the opprotunity represented by Ophilia. If they could find another way into the city and gain control of the Ophilian machinary then the Elseyad would finally have a city of their own and more wealth than ever before. The caravan dispatched its fastest elves to spread news among the other Elseyad caravans. News as momentous as this however, has a habit of breeding loose lips and the news was not contained to only the elves. Soon the Arcoovians and Bodneri learned of the dissapearence of the Ophilians and desired to capture the city for themselves. Now, The forces of Arcoove, Bodner and the Elseyad lay assembled before Ophilia. Each side hopes to fight off the others long enough to find a way into the city and use its defenses to drive the others away.

The Elseyad are a roaming group of nomadic elves. Their skin color tends to vary by the animal they are born to be in tune with. Around the age of Nine, they first discover their animal and by age Thirteen; can transform in to a beast. They use this for getting around and for times of battle. The Elseyad are famous for the tails that they all have, though the length and thickness vary between them and their animals. All Elseyad have access to three forms, Normal, Half beast, and Full beast. The Half beast form is by far the most powerful, but also the most difficult to maintain. It takes years of meditation and training to be able to contain the beast within at a half state for more than a few seconds. The main transformations of Elseyad are wolf, bear, panther, rhino and elephant, however; the Elseyad have been known to take other forms like monkies or apes and in rarer cases, even kangaroos and whales! As a nomadic group, they have been in almost every city and are famous for their cheap to expensive wears and trinkets. Many times, they have been hired by random kingdoms to find some odd weapon or specific trinket lost in a war. Recently however; the nomad lifestyle has taken it's toll, disease breakouts and a lack of any real form of technology has had the other kingdoms scrambling to take over the trade routes and eliminate the need for the Elseyad.
The Kingdom of Arcoove has always been one of magic. Recently taking the forefront in the arcane arts, they started off as novices constantly studying and copying the far more advanced Ophillians. Now that they have moved to the top spot in magic, we have seen new and more interesting spells come out of them. They have the more traditional magi as expected, but the more interesting aspect to them is their warrior class. This group has always been disadvantaged and until recently was essentially a giant wall of cannon fodder. Now however, they found a way to enchant their armor and weapons with magic, allowing for new horrifying creations that have wreaked havoc accross the land, from exploding arrows, to shields that can set yours on fire, this army is not one to be dealt with lightly. That said, Arcoove is much more than their armies, they have used their magic to enchant the very city they live in. Automated doors and wells are scattered across what would normally be seen as an archaic and rudimentary city. An Arcoovian mage is usually split in to an arcana class. The four basic elementary magics are all present in their army, fire, water/ice, lightning, earth, but there is so much more. See, the school of healing is widespread in Arcoove and is considered one of the highest honors to be one. An elite few have even used their powers to make their skin hard as iron and their reflexes, speed and punching power brought to ascend beyond the Elseyad half-beast. Finally, we have also witnessed the school of Summoning in a few select magi. The practice of this has been banned by all factions, however; the act is still ever present, and army officers preforming dark arts are usually overlooked. Beyond those, there are still more spells and lesser known schools, and possibly even secret ones hidden from their enemies prying eyes. The Arcoovians are indeed a mysterious lot.
The land of the Bodneri clinks and clanks to no end. With their constant innovations in technology, they quickly rose above all others in their lands and overwhelmed all but the Arcoovians. Their relations with the Ophillians were always rocky, their constant struggle to learn and innovate nearly brought them to declaring war on the Ophillans in an attempt to gain more information on their superior technology. Their skin is naturally darker than that of their neighbors and they are significantly shorter in stature. Their biggest and most important innovation comes by far in the "Multitool". A shield structure that can also become several different weapons ranging from a sword, to an axe, a hammer and even a cannon. The transformation process takes but mere minutes and from a shield to a weapon and back, miliseconds. Their main infantry carries a simplistic version of this in their shields. Which are notched to hold their crude firearms. When in desperate times they can make their shields in to a pike. The second class and the real hammer comes with their mech class. A human like contraption that moves via steam power and carries the true multitool. The pilots of these take years to master the little details of controlling these masterpieces. Finally, their ultimate weapon is "The Destroyer". Inside this monster of metal, which looks like a large rolling wall, is usually their greatest and most esteemed generals. The weaponry on these usually consists of several dozen cannons with hundreds of holes for their guns to fire through. Bodneri society is mostly a beurocracy. With the highest and most powerful companies taking over and creating a class system. At the bottom of this, and usually forming the infantry are the "Non Relates", or people who are not even within the families of the rich. Those distant relatives form the "Halfies", these usually pilot the mechs, though Non Relates skilled enough have also been known to pilot them. Finally, we have "The Innovators", those of direct descent or the people themselves who own companies, the richest and the most powerful, if they ever go to war they control a Destroyer. While not versed in transformation or magic, the Bodneri make up for it in their creativity and quick thinking.

Name: Artreous Koraval
Race: Ophilian

Age: Presumed dead at 35, though if by some miricale he is alive, he would be 43.
Personality: He was an open and seemingly kind man. Everything he did had a calculated air to it, seemingly like he had already worked it out in his head beforehand, even in conversation. He was always open to new ideas and seemed very engaged in whatever he decided to do. Though he always kept secrets, enjoying being one step ahead of even his allies. It is a good thing he had little global ambitions, otherwise the world would have crumbled.
Apperance (any features, height, etc): It has been some time since he was last seen, but when we did see him he was tall and muscular, very impressive oveall. His face lacked flaws of any noticable kind and his hair was long and dark. His features were soft and his eyes were an eerie red from what we can presume was a spell gone wrong.
Biography (if Bodneri, be sure to mention socital level): He was born a prodigy, showing innate magical abilities beyond that of some who had been studying for years at age five. By the time he was twenty, he had mastered everything available to him. Any knowledge past this is unknown, contact with the Ophilians was ceased, but it is rumored that he was the leader of the Preservers. The Preservers were said to lead the more positive relations with outsiders and focused more on technology over magic in general.

Combat in this will work in this way. The two will act it out for five to ten turns. If by ten turns or posts each a winner has not been decided by whoever out-wrote or out strategized the other, my co-gm and I will decide a winner, we will PM both fighters the results and the fight will be ended accordingly.
