Killstreaks and perks destroyed CoD for me. What they've done with CoD is really retarded. The next logical step is to make Call of Duty: Wizards!banksy122 said:64 players, huge maps with multiple objectives, vehicles and aircraft, no stupid perk or kill streak system. How is that like Cod again?Puzzlenaut said:If you watched this being told it was Modern Warfare 3, would you REALLY be able to call it out without prior knowledge of the video? Because I wouldn't.
I don't see why people get so worked up over how CoD outsells BF when they are almost identical to each other except for in the details.
get in a squad, and stick with them. Communicate if possible. spawn on squad when tactically advantageous. give out ammo, health as needed, dont use fully automatic weapons when hiding with your sniper unless necessary. learn how to drive a tank, and dont just floor it to the front line unless that is the best course of action. Dont take the heli unless you know what u r doing.XT inc said:I hope it works out well.
I am trying to get into battlefield BC2 and it is so fucking hard.
I spawn disoriented unto a sky full of bloom, every where is obscured by smoke and by the time I've waddled my ass to an objective the defense that spawns there blows my ass away.
I just hope there is more to that game than camping and eye strain.
The last COD I played, MW2, had vehicles and somewhat destructible environments, not entirely sure what you mean by "large scale warfare" but I didn't see anything larger than what COD has. Nothing personal against you or anyone, enjoy what you want, but it amuses me how much hate there is for COD around here and yet as soon as you stick an "alternate" name on essentially the same product give or take a couple of features it's suddenly amazing.Saucycardog said:Yep. Vehicles and destructible environments and large scale warfare. That's definitely COD alright. *rolls eyes*JoJoDeathunter said:Huh, this looks exactly the same as COD for me, in fact you could have played this trailer with MW3 slapped on the front and I would have believed you. I think I'll pass on this one.
Being the gunner to an auto-piloted AC-130 doesn't count as a vehicle. CoD doesn't have vehicles in MP. And busting out windows is not destructible environments. Next time you collapse an entire building on an enemy squad to kill them, or blow a hole in the wall to complete an objective in CoD, call me. I'm not holding my breath.JoJoDeathunter said:The last COD I played, MW2, had vehicles and somewhat destructible environments, not entirely sure what you mean by "large scale warfare" but I didn't see anything larger than what COD has. Let me rephrase. None of the recent iterations. The old, good ones are part of a separate franchise, so as to protect their sanctity to me. Recent being WaW, MW2 and BlOps. You know, the garbage, copy and paste ones.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Thats false.Frostbite3789 said:Also, there has never been a time in CoD history where you could have 64 people on a map.
Im all for pointing out obvious flaws in the COD series, but you could at least do some research before bashing a franchise you obviously have no clue about.
Some of those bloomeffects are flashlights. You can use flashlights in dark areas to blind enemies. Not G. Ivingname said:I do hope there isn't so many random bloom effects in the game, it made the game a bit hard to look at.
Doesn't sound all that different to me, number of people on a map, how you control a vehicle, fact is to a neutral observer who isn't a fan of either they seem very similar. Surprising when you consider the number of arguments I've seen over fans between them, but then again perhaps anything similar (360 vs. PS3, PC vs. Mac, IE vs. Firefox vs. Chrome etc) seems to breed competition between the fans for whose product is the best.Frostbite3789 said:Being the gunner to an auto-piloted AC-130 doesn't count as a vehicle. It was less that I thought it was probably shit. And more a groan inducing, "Really, another WWII shooter?" After CoD1-3, plus the PS2/Xbox era console ones, like The Big Red One. Plus the MoH games. Plus Wolfenstein. It was a bit tired. MW was the first extremely accessible, successful modern combat game, with a campaign.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Snip
Destructible Environments and Vehicle Warfare ring any bells? Oh and dinosaurs.Puzzlenaut said:Snip
Thas exactly how I felt, Im unimpressed. The better grahics get the harder to tell what the hell is going onSober Thal said:I must be getting old, I could hardly tell what was being shot at most of that trailer.
