Well, I just done watching We Were Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan, and Full Metal Jacket. Anyone know some good war movies I could watch that have good gore?

Edit: Damn typos. D:<

LMAO That movie was funny as hell. I loved when Jack Black feasted on the bat. xD

Already watched Black Hawk Down, but I might watch it again. >,>

Get the Band of Brothers series, better than any film I've seen I think.

Rambo. Thats a good movie. Enemy at the Gatesis another. You should check out Apocalypse Now Redux too.
Letters From Iwo Jima is a good film. Very compelling and emotional in places but not that much in terms of gore.
If you want some older war movies (nothing like the gore you get in saving private ryan or anything but still really entertaining) the i would suggest the following:
Tora Tora Tora
The Longest Day
A Bridge Too Far
The Great Escape
Kelly's Heros
The Green Berets'
Battle Of Britain
The Dirty Dozen
Von Ryan's Express
The Bridge at Remegan

Edit: I see many people below saying Band of Brothers and I slap myself for forgetting it. Truly one of the greatest shows to grace my TV.
I also saw Starship Troopers. That is a truly epic film and has plenty of gore. Of course, if you just want gore, you could always watch Predator

So true. The characters are much more likable than in the average war movie, and it's realistiv as hell.

I cannot agree with this post more.
Band of Brothers is easily one of the best war portrayals ever.

Exactly which order do they go in? I found a guy on youtube who has many of them uploaded, but I don't know which one was the first in the series.
Curahee is the first one.

Rambo (the newest one), just brutal.

But I wouldn't rate Rambo as a classic, it's too silly. Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, Thin Red Line, Full Metal Jacket, Apocalypse Now, The Deer Hunter (partly war)........these are what I call classics.

There's always Starship Troopers, a bloody and brutal movie with some of Verhoevens best wit since Robocop.

YES! Band of Brothers is the finest series ever to have existed.

Generation Kill is also very good. Its by the same guys as BoB (I think) and in a similar vein, but set in the Gulf War :D
