Space Marine, I gotta be honest, looks like shite to me. They horribly underpower your bolter and overpower you against the other space marines, the cinemaction moments will get reptitive soon enough, the option of quick time seems like a godless waste and as much as they may brag about it, they have done absoloutely nothing to get the feel of the 40K 'verse right. They've got you running around smashign things up and looking at pretty scenery. Devil May Cry anyone?
I would, gotta admit, LOVE to see an imperial guard game. It's a common misconception that they're weak, the lasgun is always shown to blow concrete apart in the novels and the average guardsman could easily pass for a cog if they were from Cadia, probably even be able to beat the snot into Marcus Fenix were they from Ctchan, it's just that everything else in the galaxy is so much more powerful than them. Kinda like saying a destroyer sucks because everything else is a dreadnaught.
As for the MMO, saw a brief article about it in PCGamer ages ago, and I mean BRIEF. about 1/12 of a pafe and a dinky little graphical render of an empty battlefield and a crashed ship. Here's to hoping they work it out and start you as a PDF.

A imperial guard game would be great, but it would probably end up like the Medal of Honour series, with you single-handedly defeating an ork Waaagh. What would be interesting would be a rainbow six style game as cadian stormtroopers.

Why settle for that, when the Inquisitorial ones get the REALLY freaky jobs? Then again, I suppose if you really want some scale nothing's gonna beat Cadia during the Black Crusade. Any situation in which there are always at least 3 titans on the horizon is pretty epic.

The only problem I can see with that would be the fact that you would be overshadowed by the Grey Knights. Unless you did a CoD4 style character switch half way through....
Nemesis Force Weapon anyone?

Grey Knights only work with puitan inquisitors. Radicals however, those guys are the fun ones. You storm a room only to find that the inquisitor's Daemonhost has cleared it for you... Messily.

Good idea with the daemonhosts... by the way, that reminds me: a W40k MMO would be an excellent opportunity to use famous characters, especially those who are likely to be still active somewhere but whose stories left a lot of loose ends. Eisenhorn, anyone?

... Why do I now have this blissful image of going on a pilgramge to Baal, performing an appropriate, non grindy quest for the local shrine to Sanguinius and being rewarded with a lesser form of the blood rage allowing you to experience first hand the Defence of Terra or soemthign equally epic. All in the form of some hallucinagenic flashback, of course, but still a tolerable justification for the player to stomp around as a space marine on occasion. Go to a saint's temple, do task, get a history lesson.

Although with all the rights having just been given to THQ for Necromunda & Gorkamorka, maybe something much better will come from the use of those excellent titles.
... Necromunda as a squad based online shooter would be epic, leveling up your memebrs and everything, teaming up with other gangs and stuff. Gorka Morka would probably be better off from the strategy point of view, which may limit you to 2 players. Playing with you controlling one ork, well, Friendly fire would be up on full and god only help you if you're between the frontline and a slightly bigger ork... you could make one of the first ever games where team killing is considered completely normal, mainly because your teammates would respawn instantly among the numberless mob. I like your thinking sir.

Read the Blood Angels omnibus, didn't you?
This idea is made of awesome. Awesome with a side of more awesome. It's a fun AND logical way to incorporate SMs into the gameplay!

I'm not completely sure, but isn't it Endwar where the results of all online games are compiled into one huge campaign database? Something similar for the different Houses could be incorporated maybe.
Orlock FTW!
