Okay so lately i've been playing Dark Cursade again, I beat on easy last time and frankly it was a little to easy, so I switch it up to normal. Things okay for awhile intill I reach a point that I can't attack any areas with 10, then I get one of my areas attacked which is also at 10 by the Space Mariens. 5 minutes into the game i'm swamped and rushed by more units then should be allowed, I found out that they had two based that acted as two seperate players both of which were already at tier three. I kept running into this problem when attacking areas, I would start at tier one and them at three. Before I could even capture the fist stragic point I would already be dead.

Now I'm not very good player, but I think this is a little unfair especially on medium. Is this a bug or something or do I really just suck and need to go back to easy. Also has anyone else had the problem?

Nope, I believe it is provinces at 6 strength or more (Perhaps five or more) start with two bases, and as the province strength increases, so does the strength of each enemy base.
I'm playing Dark Crusade right now, and going up against the same thing >.>
Except I haven't lost yet, and I have all but three territories. I think I am also on medium difficulty.

ive had this before on this game. its common with RTSs, that the computer can control everything at once, but you only get to control whats on the screen. theoretically you can create several bases and split your resources, but it over complicates and is generally not worth it unless you are sure base one is goin' dooooown

Really?
I didn't really have that problem as I was prepared to take on the armies that came for me.

You Don't take on the higher level bases without the proper abilities and unlocks to help you fend off those first strikes.

Start easy till you have a massive honor guard, also play dark crusade its better than your weird variant :p. This is how it is on medium, play on easy for a bit if you want. Yeah they have multiple bases, this is how the game is im afraid. Eventually you should start with a miniture army cus of honor guard and deepstrike, then you can raid these tough places easily.

Yes, you need to be careful. Maybe change your starting units or structures. Then you need to build really fast and have enough soldiers in a more tactical place than theirs to take advantage. What species are you? That might help me help you.

Hate to say it but, yeah. It just sounds like you suck.
I mean I had no problems on medium whatsoever.
Try another race, I suggest Eldar.
Ahhh, Eldar are one of the hardest races to use, I find. You really have to stick with each units strength, and never get them to do anything else... I mean, they look awesome and all, but they're quite delicate.

This and it's heavily dependent on your opponent. Orcs and IG tend to have a stupidly fast build rate.

Edit: 1500 posts means new avatar. Yay me.

I'm play the Imerial Guard, I was doing okay in the beginning and managed to beat the Necrons and the Choas but I got traped against a wall of 10 terriostes and can't contiune and the Space Mariens cheat like assholes. Two base fine, but they shouldn't get double the unit cap.

And if it helps my stratige is to mostly turtle when I can, or to rush early on before the start making troops.

In dark crusade I always found it best to capture the 4 sectors that give you bonus's to your productivity, bulwark, forward base etc. And also when 1st capturing a sector I usually don't destroy the enemy base immediately to allow me to further build my defenses with at least 1 secondary base. Never really had any dramas defeating the pc opponents with any race on medium. Most importantly you have to identify what ever "crack" units your race may be able to employ and to get these in play as soon as possible. Nobs and heavy nobs for orks, banshees and council for eldar, scouts and 1st company followed by terminators for marines so on and so forth.
When using guard get the ogres and Kasikins up and running asap plus deploy a cluster of mgs at choke points leading to your primary base.

Necrons are slow and Chaos usually don't get real strong units till late. Space Marines are pretty much the same but can just use numbers. Build a couple support squads and put them to the sides of where the arrive. Then max out yor squad cap with maxed out guardsmen. If you can, get them to 12 and have a commissar or priest attached for morale. Hellhounds will usually take out any infantry units quick but if they have tanks use sentinels.

The only way to win with the guard is to turtle and you can often get attacked before you're ready so you need a big defence. Remember the guardsmen are cheap so right click their icon to have them constantly produced and have a rally point at weak points.

Just build up a good honor guard and be aggresive in your play, take strat point and do hit and runs on the enemy. Try to group your territories into a corner to reduce their contact with other races for a little bit. Take the weaker territories first and turrets are your friends

Oh and if you're using Eldar (the best race imo) then make really good use of shroud and the webway gates, they are so awesome for quickly jumping massive armies around the map, don't forget bonesingers have a ridiculous teleport!

I actually found that to be their greatest strength. I mean, gimme Orks and I have no idea what unit does what so I just end up using them as a massed horde (which I do understand is kinda the point), IG are kinda a mess so need to be micro managed, constantly paying attention to what abilities the commissar and priests give, SM squads are depending on what heavy weapons you equip em with.
But I personally find Eldar (and later on Sisters of Battle) to be easiest since you know that X unit works best against Y. Dark Reapers vs infantry, Fire Dragons vs armour, Banshees in melee. As long as you keep them sorted to different hotkeys then you can not lose.
and warp spiders with haywire grenades for everything muahaha
