i also kinda hate how in more recent games the marines are depicted as all noble and shit, WHAT HAPPENED TO MY 8FT, ONE TONNE IMPERIAL RACISTS?

I used to play Tau and my friends played Eldar and Tyranids. The Eldar I could handle but those bastard tyranids with their carnifex ugraded to 6 wounds and regeneration +2 Armour aswell was a fucking ball ache as I only had 1 hammer head and a few suits with fusion blasters.

6 wounds?!?! Dammit i knew i should have started with Tyrannids >..<

what with 12 units in a squad and 4 squads in a Platoon and 1 Platoon counts as 1 Troop choice for the IG. lol 48 units for 1 troop choice and it only costed like 200 points for bare bone units.

Curious, you didn't field Kroot in your Tau army? i couldn't live without those guys XD

I think the Orkz had me at green is best and red goes fashtah. Plus when I find out how that ACTUALLY WORKS, I was mind blown.

Still, can someone explain what makes chaos chaotic to me? A friend recently summarised the followers of chaos gods as this:

Khorne - Predictable and almost a huge self parody
Tzeentech - Wizards
Nurgle - HUGGZZZZ (seriously, why are they friendly?)
Slannesh - Don't know about them. But noise marines smite our foes...WITH THE POWER OF ROCK

-Khorne demands you retract those words, his honour is besmirched and he demands satisfaction.
-The fact that you think that about Tzeentch is clearly because he wants you think that
-Nurgle extends a diseased, infectious, rotten hug to you, come on don't be a baby take a chance.
-Slaanesh will pervert you, your family and everyone you love with glorious pain it's best not to invoke that name too loudly

We are Chaotic because we fight to set the galaxy ablaze from end to end knowing that doing so damns us and our species and ultimately would destroy our gods due to the fact they need mortals to exist. It's one big party and you're invited.

Chaos and Eldar here. With a smattering of Imperial Guard, and starting up an Ork army.
I'm actually okay with most marines. Just not the Ultra marines (fucking Mary-Sue chapter).

Also hate Tau, but only on the table top, and mostly because of a certain, 5 point, hideously powerful upgrade when used across a vechile army and by someone who's a jammy git with their saves. (Disruption Pods, used by my best friend. *Rage*)

Clearly you've never seen Tervigon spam. My friend started with 5 Tervigons and 16 or so gaunts. Second turn he had about triple his starting models, and it kept going up and up and up and up...

(For any unelightened, Tervigon's spawn 3D6 Termigaunts per turn. Roll a double/triple, they still spawn them but they get constipation (meaning no more Termigaunts from that Tervigon for the rest of the game.) Still, it's entirely possible none of them will shut down, and unlikely they all will. Thank the gods for template weapons.)

Far to true. Never seen a (well played) Tau army without them on all vechiles. Pretty much nullifies trying to take a vechile army on at range at all...you'd have to be an idiot/nice (in the 40k world? Ha!) to NOT take them.

Chaos are chaotic because the gods don't care if there's a civilization. They only want blood and souls. Maybe some worship to go along with that. When your religion is killing things, constant change, disease, or sensory input above all else, and that is the point, how is that not chaotic?

Nurgle cares about his followers because he is the god of new life as well as pestilence.

OT: I just got into tabletop as Tau. After I get a good list, on to Blood Angels, then Krieg.

I think the problem was that it isn't chaotic to be predictable like that, but you do have a good point about the not caring about civilization thing. Other than that, all the followers didn't do anything unpredictable....though we didn't know much about tzeentech. Though that could just be the folly of man. Thank you for educating me, though.

Oddly, as marines, I hate orks, but as Eldar, I hate marines. Played a bit of Necrons (still waiting for their new codex), Tau (nerfed with 5th Ed) and Sisters (faith points... mmm, faith points!)

clearly my friends were daft when they convince me to go IG than.

Also does it mean you have to make/paint all them the more there are or you just keep adding wounds to an existing models? XD (like to think you have to have more models to represent that heh, also makes more money for Games Workshop or ppl don't field them at all XD) In which case my 48 dudes will at least be bigger in # at on set

Yeah if I did field kroot they just got wiped out, I usually took out his gene stealers etc before they could close beautiful 30" range from 24 units usually dealt with them. And even then kroot wouldn't have been able to hold a candle to the Carnifex.
