Well seeing as it's basically like horseradish with balls, I'd be really tempted to try it with either a full roast beef dinner, or a cold sliced roast beef sandwich with coarse ground pepper and some green leaf lettuce (not that iceberg crap!)

Not to be a sushi snob, but the stuff you can get in America is actually just horseradish with a bit of coloring. It's very difficult to get "real" wasabi in America, and it's exceptionally expensive

Damn, sucks to be American in this case.

Luckily I'm in the UK, and we seem to be developing enough of an interest in odd foods to make finding odd ingredients pretty easy.

That reminds me, I need to source some decent saki soon!
