Wasps are a vital part of the ecosystem. They keep the bee population down. However, that doesn't mean i enjoy their presence, but i do appreciate them. Except the sparrow wasps of japan, where i fuckin live. Fuck those things.

BUT THE BEEEZ ARE DISAPPEARING!!!!! [http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/apr/21/bees-decline-uk-scientist-funding]

THIS IS MADNESS!!!

"insert einstein's 4 years quote and one shitty suicide-based film starring Mike Wahlberg"
[ins]ahahahahahhahaahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahah[/ins]

That made me lol. I absolutely agree, if they decide to plant themselves in my yard they can expect me to personally make a fuel air bomb and light their hive up like Hiroshima. I mow lawns for a living and read my previous post because I'm not going through that again.

Hell all this stuff about wasps deliberately attacking people is nonsense, I always make a point of picking up wasps if they're trapped in a bus or car and I've never been stung once.
I was in my bedroom and one landed on my hand. Having always heard the "don't attack them and they will go away" lie i followed instructions. The wasp wandered about my hand for a minute before stinging me. My hand swole up and was quite painful for around 8 hours.
Yes, wasps will sometimes sting for pleasure unlike bee's who only do it as a last resort. I don't hate wasps but i will kill one in my vincinity as it poses a feasible risk.

I am truly scared shitless of wasps, bees, and pretty much anything that looks or even sounds remotely like them. I would be pleased if they didn't exist because then I wouldn't have to freak out whenever a bug buzzed past my ear.

However, wasps have a niche in their ecosystem(s). They have evolved to do well in their situation, and have just as much of a right to live as I do.

If an insect is suffering, put it out of its misery. Otherwise, let it go about its business.

Wasps are fine by me, long as they build their nests in/on other people's houses. Had a few bad experiences with 'em, including one when I was small and sat down on an ancient chair with a nest under the cushion. I don't really hate them though. Just stay the fuck away from me and we're alright. Sting me and enjoy fiery insect death to you and your whole colony.

I run a business
I mow lawns and do other yard work. You want to see what a hive of pissed off ground wasps look like? run a mower over their hive.
I once ran a hover mower over a hive. When I noticed I quickly moved it back over the exit they were coming out from. Oh, the sweet sounds of wasps getting slaughtered...
It didn't stop the surviviong ones from pestering me whenever I mow our lawn though...

I understand that wasps have their own important role to play in the eco-system. As long as they do it away from me it's fine. I don't hate them, but they do annoy the hell out of me. I've never been stung but I almost drank one once and now I never leave my drinks outside uncovered.

Eh, I think they're something of a pest and would be glad to be rid of them. They make nests under the eaves of my house in the summer, and I do my best to douse the bastards with spray to get rid of 'em.

I have ways of breaking their will
remember that nature is all about survival of the fittest and if the wasps want to live they should
A. not make a home in my yard
B. make their hive out of something less flammable.
