I get more excited for this game everyday.

Something new that I just learned about from this review was the morality. I just PRAY it is done tastedully, and doesn't feel shoehorned in like some other games *cough*infamous*cough*.

The multiplayer looks hreat as well, as long as it can be toggled off.

"On the multiplayer side of things, you've got a really novel system, whereby you can stealthily drop into another player's game without their knowledge, in an attempt to hack them personally and harvest their data."

Little do we know that it's not Ubisoft developing this, but the NSA.

OT:

I'm really glad it's coming to PC. This pseudo-stealth open-world gameplay is exactly what I've been looking for for quite awhile.

I have really, really high hopes for this game. I will be happy if Ubisoft doesn't screw it up.

I didn't know the NSA made a video game!

In seriousness, I'm really excited about this game. It looks beautiful, and I'm very glad I finally got my first ever gaming desktop so now I can play games such as this. Bring it o-- *computer overheats and crashes*

Also, that multiplayer idea is brilliant. I am very excited to jump into people's games and subtly hack them while they're roaming around the map. Let the games begin.

With all this talk on being against the system and hacking I'll honestly not be suprised if anonymous makes Adien their new mascot and replace V.

So it's kinda like Infamous, only Anon-flavored. I'm totally okay with this. And it's definitely good to know that the gunfights won't be mandatory. Seriously, shooting is always the least interesting part of whatever game it's in (which is just about all the games at this point). I'm pretty sure this is going to be my first PS4 game.

I was (and still am) somewhat worried that the guns stuff would be too heavily emphasized for my taste. Shooting thing in games just doesn't push my fun button as well as other varieties of violence. I really hope they don't force you to shoot your way out of situations in order to try to make it more exciting.

Exactly
While I like to have firearms as a backup plan, I would rather prefer tasers, tranquilizer darts and gas/immobilizing grenades for such cases (pretty much how DeusEx:HR did)
Of course the main goal is to go undetected ;)

I think I said this before and I'll say it again. It's "Person of Interest" the game. And as a huge fan of that show the existence of this game makes me so happy. I can't wait.

I remember the developers saying that you can't really do that, you have to allow somebody to come.

Stealth-hack multiplayer drop-in? My body was never ready - but I'll try to manage anyway

This game still looks brilliant, and it's premise seems even more poignant with the recent NSA debacle.

This.

It was what I thought when I saw the first trailer of the game.
I have high hopes for this one. One reason to look forward to November.

@WaitWHAT

as far as i heard
it isn't that blackandwhite...in "good points and bad points"
its more a thing that developes in the background, subtle changing the environment...
or slight changes in atmosphere like people darting malignant glances at you...=D

i'm really hoping it to be like that =D
i imagine an artificallly intelligent game where actions and reactions take their place without your presence - robberies, people driving to work, car crashes, elections, people talking,...that every individual really goes through an (mental) development...
and you COULD interact and by that change the course of events as a whole..."altering history"
hm... a littlebit like Strategy Games...

of course thats impossible...(._.)
but the developement appears to approach that...or have that in mind as guideline
so they at least can simulate it really being like that...

so possibly there's a greater spectrum between good and evil
more depending on the situation...

well...
for me this Interview is a reason to be optimistic:

I haven't seen that video, thank you for posting that.

That interview did make me feel a bit more at ease towards the "reputation" system. It seemed like it wasn't as cut and dry as "don't kill anyone at all if you want the good ending, or kill everything in sight if you want the bad ending" which is cool. Judging from the gameplay footage (especially in the weapon store) it looks like the media reporting on this vigilante has a more organic feel to it.

I can't wait to play this.

If you want to boost your reputation with the civilians of the city, you can utilize the fact that ctOS is using cameras around the city in concert with facial and pattern recognition software to predict crimes, as well as potential victims. Interfacing with ctOS allows you to spot these potential victims, escort them safely to wherever they may be going, and interrupt crimes in progress, saving the victim, and earning you credibility with the people. If you can make the people like you enough, they may even turn a blind eye while you steal a car in the course of your heroic business.
Hey, neat, I think I've spotted some complexity in this moral choice system. So Aiden doesn't like the omniscient, omnipotent computer system that controls everyone and everything in the city, and he wants it to go away. His (potential) solution, then, is to use that same system to help people--yeah, that's the nice thing to do, but he's also inadvertently proving to the world that Big Brother is actually a good thing. If he's fundamentally anti-ctOS, he should be trying to demonstrate that it's not a good thing, and the ideal way to do that is by causing as much chaos as he possibly can.
