Watch_Dogs....adventures of mildly annoyed white man!

I've got a kind of general question here

as I've started playing I notice that particularly when I go outside and drive around the game slows down, or stutters, I'm not sure what the actual technical term is, it does it enough its noticeable and affects my play

I'm not sure this is just a case of my PC being too slow, the game doesn't look *that* high tech graphics wise and it runs fine for the most part, its like it just drops from 60-whatever then to 60fps again

I'm not running an AMD GPU and my Nvidia thing that chooses the settings for me still kept them relatively high, while it might not be foolproof its clear I can run the game perfectly fine

I guess I should just lower the setting, but I think maybe this has something to do with the game being poorly optimized?

anyone else having issues?

I've got the same problem, friends of mine have the same problem and it would seem that alot of people on the internet have the same problem. The game runs fine most of the time but as soon as I get into a car and start driving the game will stutter every few seconds. It makes the already painfully bad driving mechanics in the game even worse.

You can somewhat alleviate the problem by turning the texture quality all the way down and running the display in borderless window mode. But it doesn't completely fix it. I think a patch is needed.

Ya they still got some hefty hitches with dynamic loading(even on super powerful machines) so you need to take the settings down a bit, and if textures are indeed the main culprit you should start with that.

Stuttering is what you're seeing. It happens with v sync an without. It happens with Nvidia cards.
.
I mentioned my card because I hear theres been issue with AMD ones...

Seems like the PC versions of Watchdogs are boned for most people, regardless of how godly your PC is. All my friends who play on PC all report horrific lag at seemingly random points, especially while driving.
