Wow, why is everyone so pessimistic? The DLC is about a new character and an extra side campaign for Aiden, which looks great by the way, games need to have these fun little silly campaigns.
It looks like screen shots and concepts to me, not "great".

But there I go using facts instead of hype.
Maybe I forgot to turn my brain off so I could properly squee at the mere promise of something.

Yeah, maybe that's the problem.

Arguing your missing out on the complete game because you don't have these DLC is stupid, that's like saying Revengence wasn't a complete game without the Sam and Blade Wolf mode or saying Red Dead Redemption wasn't a complete game without the Zombie DLC campain. Both of those games were still complete experiences, those DLC campaigns were just nice extras.
Point to me in the dictionary where "complete" means "some/most of something".
Go ahead, I'll wait. I mean, by your own assertion clearly I'm too stupid to figure this shit out for myself.

Everyone else has already made the points I was going to make, but I'll add my voice to the chorus. I am looking forward to this game. The only reason my preorder stands, however is for a few key reasons, in order...

1) getting a discount on the preorder b/c of sales

2) using store credit to pay for half of if (after the discount)

3) need SOMETHING compelling to play on PS4

Still, I know this is going to be rereleased within a few months after launch, rendering all my points moot somehow. Devs can go straight to hell with this nonsense...

Watch Dogs is just jumping on every freaking bandwagon of questionable business practices there is.

Season passes: check
Pre-order incentivation: check
DLC advertised planned and developed before release: check
DRM ladden release on PC: check
Planned sequels before release: check
Cross-media milking: check
Gameplay and graphics hyping that doesn't reflect in final product: check
...
etc

It's just missing microtranactions and mandatory online connection for single-player game(or is this one in there?)

Ubisoft has effectively killed any interest I had in this game. I am staying far, far away until I see what happens after the dust settles.

Just because they announce a DLC doesn't mean they have it ready. If you think that they should wait till they have all the DLC prepared and made to ship with the actual game then the price would probably be around $100+ from now on. That would be stupid cause every game would turn into "hey remember that game we heard about 8 years ago? they're finally releasing it and it's only $200!".
