Seriously, though, this is bogus. I was excited for a new network-based Trek series. Now the way I see it, they either think it'll be so great that people will want to pay to see it, or they have no confidence and don't want to risk a time-slot to air it.

Either way, I'm disappointed.

EDIT: And with regards to this "teaser," I've seen more captivating studio bumpers at the start of a movie. Try harder, CBS.

They've already announced that there will be a proper title beyond just "Star Trek", but for some reason they're this far and still haven't actually given it to us.

That is a astronomically incorrect depiction of space (pun intended). The distances.....the vastness of space... are not there... AT ALL. At least put some fade or wormhole/warp effect between systems for Grabthar's hammer !! It's a universe for ants?
