I used to wear and own different kind of watches until I had my own mobile phone. It was only months ago I had to buy a watch. I was in a job for a short time and one of the rule is no mobile phone while working which was hard to keep track of time without some way to tell the time. Luckly there was a shop that sell watches near work. I end up getting a Kahuna watch which is analogue with silver metal case and black dial and velcro strap. Ok that wasn't my first choice since all the cheapest watches look lame so I fork out a bit more cash to the next best thing (the Kahuna). I pretty much wear it sometime at the moment

I use a pocket watch that my grandfather gave to me, gold with a silver deer on it. Yeah it isn't practical, but I like it.

A picture of the same model I got. The thing that shows seconds is the small digital circle screen at the right side. It also runs on "solar" energy (it has solar panels at the edges where the "hour" marks are on the analog part, but any light source will do,) which means that batteries aren't needed to change. And it also adjusts itself if it goes to quick, so that it goes correctly. This also means that Daylight Saving Time is automatically applied/removed! I've had mine for about 4-5 years now I think (if not longer). Haven't had it in to service/repairs once yet. Works like a charm, and I suspect I'll have it for many years to come ^_^

I've just used cell phones for the last 11 years to check the time.

Yep, that's a binary watch. I'm nerdy like that.

I always wear a watch when I go outside. I even have a tan line on my left wrist. My watches have always been cheap Walmart analogs, but I've always wanted a really nice, classy watch. I'd really like a Tokyoflash [http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/1/] watch, specifically the Rogue [http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watch_museum/tokyoflash/rogue/], but they don't make it any more :(

Lul.
I don't wear watches.
I have a few, but I never wear 'em because I use my mobile/cell phone all the time.

I wear a Wohler Skeleton Watch. I love the thing, it's a lot of fun watching the gears turn, and I get a lot of comments on it. Sometimes I even have people address me as "that guy with the cool watch." When they do, I always go "yeah, but that's just what my parent's call me."

It's also self winding. The one real problem is that it always runs fast, I usually have to set it back a minute or so most days because by the end of the day it'll be running one minute fast again. I don't mind though.

It can be seen here
That watch is incredible. Where did you get it?

I love watches. I always use them.

And I always wear analog, I just like the look better.

I was wearing an Armitron Skeletal watch. Really nice, you can see the inside gears turn too.

But I just sent it recently to get repairs on it. I always have to turn it back every week, its faster than it should be.

So now I am wearing a different watch until the Armitron is fixed.
It has a moon dial. Tells how many days there are in the moon cycle

I prefer utilitarian digital watches set to a 24 hour mode. I don't really have a favorite brand, but my current watch has an analog compass as well.

I wear a very plain metal one from time to time. It's a nice accessory.

I wish I could pull off a pocket watch though.

I wear a Timex expedition. the image below is the closest to what I can find through google images of it, but my watch has smaller numbers and the outside rim goes to 360

I had it about 4 years now

I actually own the pocket watch from FMA. It is INCREDIBLY badass (apologies, I'm new/idiot and don't know how to post images).
to post images you just need to use an image tag like this:
[ img]Url of picture[/img ] without the spaces in the tags.
Awwww fuck yeah! Another Timex Expedition user. Below is pretty much what I have. This watch is just a solid polymer mass of awesome. It's taken more punishment than I could have ever imagined and come out without a scratch. Also, I wear it on the inside of my wrist. I catch a lot of flak for it, but it's just easier for me with the work I do.

... I wear a watch I got from my uncle. It says "Fubu" on it.
It tells the time.
...
It goes on my wrist.

I dunno. A watch is a watch.
Generally I prefer ones with a leather strap, but that's as far as it goes. I am indifferent to everything else.

Though I must say, the skeletal ones where you can see all the clockwork inside are pretty cool.

"You're not a true runner if you do not have a watch."

Digital, waterproof, simple, works in the dark, takes splits, and is durable.

I just bought a watch that, in stead of having numbers, has twelve different equations on the face. I'll find a link:

http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/pop-quiz-watch/index.html

I want a pocket watch, but I can't justify buying that after buying a watch. If I had the budget I'd probably buy an Omega or an Oris.

There's some really nice watches here! I'm surprised, thought most people would be using cell phones.

This is an awesome watch. I can see why your parents call you that.
