I want you to read this:http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2010/11/gerard_thomas_former_upjohn_la.html#comments

He died on the 21 of November and no one seemed to noticed(if you did notice then disregard that sentence)

A great man right? Right. Now read the comments...........yeah.

So, this has got me pretty mad, so I was wondering: Has anything made you curse out humanity?

I don't know who that is...

---After reading---
Okay I skimmed through it and I still don't know who that is...sooo I'll just say that humanity should not be judged by the internet.

I feel good about the people who say nasty things after people die. Mainly because they were polite enough to wait to say those things until after the person couldn't hear it.

For me, I'd prefer people to be kind and loving to me even if they hated me. They can say what they want when I'm dead.

And trolls will always exist. I hope to be the first nonliving troll by actively trying to get the Westboro Baptists to my funeral.

Whats with all the hate on humanity? 99% of humans aren't bad people, just idiots who get into power, and people who think that the world is coming to an end because no one cares about some insignificant matter..........

So the presence of trolls on the internet has apparently shocked you. I can only think you must be new here.

Sad truth: many people do great things only to be mocked. Many people are douchebags for the fun of it. The internet often brings people like this together, and so people who should be praised are mocked.

Quit being melodramatic and calling out the human race for putting shit on this guy.

Hell, most of us have probably never heard of this guy. I sure haven't.

Well, as you've learned, people who comment on the internet are not nice people. It's called "trolling", and you should really read into it...

He did his part and now he's gone. Is the reason no one remembers him is because he wasn't black or any other kind of minority?

Cursing out humanity is for teenagers.
And emos. On a note people die all the time, we should curse humanity for not having a moment of silence for everyone who *has a moment of silence* died. Because everyone had some impact *another moment of silence* on someone else's life.

Thats the point I'm trying to make...it's not about the trolls or the of the idoits, it's about the fact the nobody has heard of him when he did so much for the US schooling system. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood.

People on the internet aren't nice? Quick we must run to our shelters and hide from their evil words.

He did something good and people don't know who he is, Salk also did something good and I had never heard his name before I watched a movie.
Once again, I don't think you see the point I'm trying to make. It's not about the idoit trolls, it's about the fact that nobody has heard of this guy when he has done so much.

'Sigh' It's not about the trolls, it's about the fact that nobody has heard of this guy, even though he has done so much. Thats what I'm angry about.

Pretty much this.

Man up and accept what we are.
True to a point, but unfortunatley, humans will always bicker, and hate people who do good things, why? Because that is human nature, all humans are naturally evil, but we have shown the ability to supress it. Then... There are those demons on the earth, bitter little men who like to stab at anything, and blame anything, for two reasons. Power, humans always seem to dislike the person with more power "If someone wins, that means someone else has lost." Second, stupiditity, those idiots who talk about something, as if they know it, but in truth, they don't fully understand it.

There are many more things other than the two listed, and you may argue that I didn't explain them, but these people will exist forever. However, we have to try, and help them *twitches*. The same could be said with teaching people to not beat children, and do other bad things, if we don't make an attempt, who will?

Maybe you are in a bad mood. You should spread word of his existence since he's done so much good.

Why? From what I know of him, he didn't brag about it. He was quiet about it; doing the right thing because it was right and not so that people knew about him.

I really don't think we can condemn humanity just because every retard on this planet can get on the internet.. What we need is a "surfing license". But yeah, I guess I'm a bit authoritarian.. I guess a better way to deal with the problem would be to send all those brats to a camp where they would learn to behave.

If the the disrespect shown towards the guy bothers you so much, you could always post a obituary at this forum or on your blog...
