I hope this is more like a massive improvement on the already sound Snowblind formula, and that it doesn't take too many cues from Dragon Age.

Which would seem to indicate at least part of the game takes place east of the Misty Mountains, i.e. not Arnor.Grey Mountains and the overgrown forest of Mirkwood
There might be some underwear-covered sex scenes in there too, you know, just to follow up Dragon Age.Sky Captanio said:Do they mean "Mature" mature or "Hooray immature bloodsplatters" mature?
Sex, copious amounts of blood, racism and swearing. In regards to videogames, isn't "mature" a euphemism for sex, racism and swearing?
I didn't see any dwarvesWhy not? There's swords, cave trolls, forests, and open plains. What is there to "look" like?

It's the same whenever they try to "gritty up" Star Wars in the novels. Sorry, it's a universe of pulpy adventurous space opera, it makes you seem like a bit of a git when you try to make it grim and gritty (Vong War anyone?)Jamash said:In regards to videogames, isn't "mature" a euphemism for sex, racism and swearing?
The Witcher is a "mature" RPG with plenty of sex, racism and swearing, but unlike LOTR, that is all present in it's original source materials it's novels, whereas LOTR might have racism, but sex and swearing would appear shoehorned in.
Somehow, that makes me wary. This sounds a lot like an attempted replacement for the Single Player campaign... the SMOG (Slightly Multi-Player Online Game), coming soon to a console near you!Greg Tito said:You'll be able to create your own fellowship to fight the forces of Sauron through online co-op play with up to three players.
I'm not convinced you have read the books.PedroSteckecilo said:A mature LOTR rpg? Really? That'd be like making a "Mature" Star Wars title. LOTR isn't a "mature" franchise and I'm terrified to see what they plan to do to make it "mature" other than soaking the game in blood.
My reaction exactly.Axolotl said:My reactions:
