OOC: @Wacky Fairly sure that between the first wave and AEanna being in the middle of healing him, Tophat would have been put out by now.

Gerry did not respond to Makoto. Now that she was right next to him, Makoto could hear he was weeping and muttering something.
James slammed his fist into the pavement and gritted his teeth so that his jaw muscles bulged under his shrivelled skin. He uttered a long, low moan of agony as the goggles slowly came loose, then breathed a sigh of some relief and glanced at Grace.
"It should do. I'm enhanced with the T-Virus, remember? Seriously, I can deal with it. Help the others. And thank you."

AEanna finished the healing process, but the sight of Tophat in shock upset her deeply. She had always thought him to be unflappable.
"Tophat? Tophat,listen to me! The battle is over, the fire is out! We are safe now, do you hear me?" She called to him, shaking his shoulders slightly. Then she placed her hands directly on Tophat himself and began a spell of calming, filling him with a sense of peace and safety.
James grabbed his fallen guns and stumbled to his his feet, gazing around in dismay with his good eye.
"Jesus, we're in no condition to go any further. We need to fall back and regroup."
