Grace was a bit annoyed that she and Makoto had been interrupted for no good reason, but she sat near Makoto and remained silent.
Saressa sighed. William again. She braced herself for the possibility of a repeat of the NYC incident.
"Winter, I can try to join minds with you and help resist Tark, but it's risky, and I'll need your help. I need you to tell me exactly what to do inside to help repel him. Can you do that?"
The Turian fighters broke formation and buzzed past the third ship, each fighter unleashing a burst from its machine guns as it went over. The tiny rounds stitched into the hull of the ship at supersonic speed, each hit leaving damage much larger than the round itself. The capital ships drifted ever closer, but the battle would end long before they arrived.

Four finally managed to wake up. She scratched at the back of her right hand a bit as she stretched and got dressed in her sneaking suit. She wandered outside to see what was going on.

"Hi. So what are you guys doing here anyway?" Toph said, addressing Kayle since Gabranth was being rude.

"Thanks Noel." Makoto turned to Austin. "Of course. I was a little suprised at first, but looking at you two, it's really sweet." She turned to Noel. "Thanks Noel. Didn't know if it'd work at first, but..." She noticed Grace was sitting next to her, and put an arm aroud her shoulder and looked at her, smiling. "I'm really happy that it did."
Gregarie landed near the Airship with a thud. This ship does not look of this world. Is anyone in there?" He called out to the ship.
The mounted spinfusors on the third ship fired seemingly out in space, but they had calculated where the fighters would be, and fired accordingly. The ship lurched, and moved to follow Cutting Blade, which was falling towards Earth, burning at several places.
"This is Captain Dalis of the Cutting Blade, signing off."
With that, he cut the signal and took out his pistol. He aimed it at the doorway, and Dio did the same with his Nova Colt. Maris desperately tried to maintain control over the ship using only secondary thrusters.

"Trying to figure out where William will be. So far we got Cairo." Kayle said. "Whatever a Cairo is anyways."

The group can see something in the distance, twirling a cane, calmly and with a little jump in his steps, partially translucent.
"Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad, Other things just make you swear and curse, When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble give a whistle! This will help things turn out for the best, aaaaaaaaaaaand Always look on the bright side of life. Always look on the right side of life. *Whistle* and If life seems jolly rotten, there's something you've forgotten, And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps, don't be silly, chumps, Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing." they hear.
