Having recuparated, the bug took a breath and stood up, picking up its bag, the bug moved to the edge of the grassy area, staying close to a half-ruined building, and peeking around. Saw plentiful of destroyed and abandoned buildings and cars, but no people, although it could smell them further away.
The first thing it needed to do, it figured, was found out what caused the destruction, interesting in learning of it. It briefly considdered searching out a bounty store, but then figured if the faceless person knew what had befallen Damascus, they would've told the bug when they spoke in Guinea. The thought that the destruction didn't happen after its and the figure's talk didn't really occur to it.
Moving towards the spot where it detected human scents coming from, the bug saw two civilians working to remove rubble, likely to free someone trapped underneath. Thinking either of them would do in gettin information, the bug moved to a building opposite them, and climbed onto the wall from the western side, entering the building through a hole in the wall.
One of the civilians looked to his right as the bug moved by, vaguely spotting it from his peripheral, but continued working, albeit with a more nervous body language.
On the second floor of the building, the bug moved to a broken window, set its bag down, and retrieved the Savage M10. After the usual fiddling with the rifle's grip, the bug took aim at the civillian to the left, and fired a shot aimed for the back of the head. Striking true, the bullet kicked up a small dust cloud and left a stain of blood on the rubble infront of the civillian as it went through the skull and imbedded in the stone.
As the now dead civilian fell forwards, the one that still lived screamed and after a moment's hesitation, fled. Having no need to kill the second civillian also, the bug laid down its rifle, and jumped through the window, flapping its wings to slow its descend, and safely touching down on the ground. Approaching its latest victim, the bug began devouring the body.
