As more people roll into the bar, Rex leans back in his chair and starts playing music through his headphones.

"Sounds good. get us a bit of that feet sweeping stuff." He then places the coins there, before heading back to the table. "What'd I miss?" He asked his fellows.

"Uh a sour flavoring. Also do you know where a motor store is" Daniel said.

Black paused for a moment. "well...If we find out the currency....I might be able to do something about it..." Black replied to Balthier, as she entered the bar and looked around. "I see the others of this group are in here as well..." She remarked as she made her way to the counter. "Excuse me...barkeep...what sort of pay do you accept here...." She asked the bartender.

"No. Mr. Ghosty Knight is a knight who is a ghost, and he lives in a castle on a flying island with a bunch of other ghosts. But this Mr. Ghosty Knight is from the past, and I'm from his future," Her voice gets a bit sad and her ears flop down "So he's technically dead again right now. But you can talk to him when we get down inside! We have arrived! All passengers off!"

"Flying talking ponies and now ghosts? I will need some serious therapy after I return to HQ. Anyway thank you for transportation Derpy. Are you headed to the bar? Or saloon, or tavern, or whatever that establishment is called?"

 

[Random berk]

Jensen nodded, and looked around the bar.
"Reminds you of some place back home? Its a bit out of shape. Kind of like the old station coffeehouse in the DCPD. Hell of a place to sit down and shoot the shit with whoever was off duty." He glanced up as Bryce returned.
"Not much. Any luck?"

 

[Sablestick]

"Yuppers! Wanna come with?"

"Pardon my misunderstanding then Mr. Dresden. I shall go speak with the other patrons then."

 

[FPSfanatic]

"Yeah, we got some heavy alcohol if you're into that, water, and some local meat coming." He pulls a chair out and sits down, waving at all of the others who've gathered. "So, I think we can all agree that this world is a bit foreign to us, huh?"

Royce looked down at the table as no one seemed to notice him.

"Yuppers! Wanna come with?"

"Yeah, sure Derpy, I need to refill my water tank. I have been drinking recycled urine for days now, and at this point it tastes really weird."

"Just being with squadmates I suppose. Back in the..." Bullet stopped midsentence, then resumed. "Well, its just nice to have some company I guess."

Balthier shrugged as he followed Black into the tavern. "It's worth a shot, I suppose. It beats scaveging." He leaned against a wall, hands in his pockets, while awaiting the answer from the barkeep

Derpy leaves that comment without an answer and guides the sergeant to the bar. "Hey Mr. Ghosty Knight! Come here! I have a friend who wants to meet you!"

"Hello Derpy. Hello to you as well Mr.?" The knight holds out a hand

 

[Random berk]

"Something you want to say, Bullet?" Jensen continued. Hearing Bryce's words, as though he had a speech to make, Jensen nodded to him to continue, then began recording the conversation, just in case he might miss anything important. As he did so he retracted his shades once again, feeling that there was no reason to hide behind them from the people here.

As a Figure walks through the dessert breath turning white with each exhale, he looks up at the distant settlement."[color="{SkyBlue}"]What is this? Maybe there will be someone their or at least... something."[/color] The desert winds whip his face but he does not shield his eyes or turn his head as his body is as cold and numb as his heart.

"So...where are we?" Royce asked again.

Derpy leaves that comment without an answer and guides the sergeant to the bar. "Hey Mr. Ghosty Knight! Come here! I have a friend who wants to meet you!"

"Hello Derpy. Hello to you as well Mr.?" The knight holds out a hand

"Alex. I assume you are "Mr.Ghosty Knight"? Nice to meet you, although you don't remind ghost. I need to speak with bartender, I will soon return."

"Well Royce, that's the thing. I don't know. Not one of us, that I know of, know. So I think a proposal is in order. None of us were born here. None of us have lived here, long enough for us to call it home. But I can bet you my bottom dollar, someone's going to make it our job to fix this place up." Bryce leans forward in his chair, tapping the table. "That's how it always is. First sign of change, people get restless, and alternate between hoping it'll fix things, or fear it coming to power. So I want to suggest that we all agree that when we finish whatever the hell it is we're doing here, whether it's killing a warlord, setting up an interim government, or just digging a goddamn well, that none of us try to impact society beyond that. We got no idea how we'd affect the people here by interfering, so lets just get the job we were sent here to do done, and leave. Sound fair?"
