Ratsel placed a hand on her shoulders. "They'll be back. I'm sure." Rin turned to Rex. "Indeed. Ratsel has been telling me everything about the situation here. I am Lingyin Huang... Or Rin for short."

Bullet follows after Yukino, frowning at the empty streets. "... Wow." was all she said.

"Well. I didn't expect to run into any of those here." Mercer said as he strolled calmly among the bodies of civilians and infected, pausing to examine the cracked statue of one of the civilians that Raziel killed by accident.

OOC: Incidentally, while this incident counts as a major catastrophe, casualties were nowhere near high enough to depopulate the city. Yet.

Majeh simply stood above the fight on a rooftop, looking down. Interesting... These seem to be some sort of creatures, but not, like I know. Still, I have plenty of techniques to deal with such things. Too bad all these people weakly rely on their weapons...
He turns and starts walking away from the fight since there seemed to be nothing more to deal with.

OoC: @Dot: "Dragging" won't work, but if she woke him and told him to come that's okay.

As I made my way back towards the place what I assumed this madness spawned from, I pulled down the cloak wrapped around my face and consumed the many souls that were floating about. It felt somewhat uncomfortable to admit, but in that regard, this sudden outburst of violence was a blessing, as I had not fed for quite some time. Once all the souls had been consumed, I pulled the cloak over my face again and listened to what the others were speaking of. That hooded man seemed to know of these beings, and was suprisingly calm about this whole thing. While that struk me as odd, however, I thought little of it beyond that.

Blondie and Royce showed up at the place where everyone else was, looking rather tired and confused.

"They're what happens when the Blacklight virus goes unchecked and uncontrolled. Evolution gone wrong, I suppose you could say. Mutation." Alex replied, picking up the head of the civilian statue and examining it curiously before throwing it aside without a second thought or hint of sadness. "They aren't too smart, but once they find a spot that they like, they'll pretty much multiply like rabbits. Interesting handiwork there, by the way." He said to Raziel as an afterthought

OOC: Does being cut in half with brutal force send you into shock immediately? Probably doesn't hurt much then. Also quite a feww people probably got quickly and cleanly lightsabered back in WAOA 2. Oh, and there were the Reaper's orbital attacks.

Rex gave Rin a small salute. [color=008888] "Then we can skip the briefing. Good to have you on board, Rin. I'm Rex." [/color] He sighs for a bit as he puts his hands in his pockets. [color=008888] " That sword of yours is freaking scary..." [/color] Turning toward Mercer, Rex raises an eyebrow. [color=008888] "How exactly did that virus get introduced then, dude?" [/color]

Yukino shakes her head at no one in particular. [color=BB66BB] Looks like the screams weren't just a small-time thing... [/color] Turning to Bullet, she crosses her arms and points at the merc. [color=BB66BB] "We have to ignore the emptiness for now, in fact, I think it will help a bit. Are you ready?" [/color]

OoC: @Salt: I'm guessing carried = dragged. So retcons away!!

Rin curtly nodded. "Pleased to meet a fine warrior like yourself." She raised an eyebrow at the mention of her zankantou. "It's a ever versed weapon from my old master. Either this diminutive version or the IS version works." she turned to Mercer for a reply.

Bullet nodded... Then asked. "So how is this going to work?"

Valvatorez looked around, thinking of the possibilities of the creatures multiplying "My word... this could be as bad as the Axel Virus! ...Well, almost."

Fenrich shuddered at Valvatorez's words

Majeh made his way back and eventually found spotted Yukino and Bullet, still on the rooftops. He sat down and watched. He made no effort to hide his presence from Yukino, though Bullet would be unlikely to notice him. It would perhaps help with her training...

OoC: @Dot: Well Majeh isn't the type to sleep through that kinda thing unless he was on death's door beforehand.

Royce knelt next to a corpse and inspected it.

Blondie walked closer to the inn, pulling out a cigarillo as he went.

"It is useful when surrounded, yes." I remarked, believing the hooded man was refering to me, as he had previously took pause to inspect one of the statues. After that, I kept my silence for a moment, but eventually my curiousity got the better of me. "These wretches followed you here, you say? How did they do that? They were little more then mindless beasts, hardly the kind that posses the knowledge of inter-planar travel."

 

[Random berk]

"That's Doctor, actually." Mercer said, glancing at Rex. "As for the virus, I guess it was a Hunter that started it. I thought I saw one, but it must have cleared out for some reason. Don't know how it got here in the first place, probably the same way I did. These fellows can spread it through saliva or blood in an open wound..." He poked one of the infected with his foot. "But the Hunters can do it much more efficiently. Now that they've gotten away they'll start to produce hives, so it'll almost certainly go airborne before long. Long story short, this city is fucked. It'll spread even faster here than in New York, judging by the local militarie's abominable reaction time." As he spoke he looked around, appearing disappointed by the failure of the military to respond quickly.

Yukino smiled a bit as she sensed Majeh watching them. She nods toward Bullet and calmly instructs her. [color=BB66BB] "To start, I need you to close your eyes and shut out everything in your mind. Focus solely on your breath for the moment. Try to sense me without looking at me." [/color] As Bullet does this, Yukino's presence to her would vanish.

Rex puts his hand to his chin, factoring what Mercer and Raziel have said. [color=008888] "No time to worry about how the virus got here. We need to extract our guy out. Anyone got any idea where could find the stronghold of the army in this city?" [/color]

Valvatorez thought for a second before replying to Mercer "Well, if this city becomes unsalvageable I could just annihilate it, hopefully it won't come to that."

"...yes, that would really be unfortunate." replied Fenrich to Valvatorez, who nodded, unaware of the sarcasm
