Valvatorez continued to root through the smelly cooler, occasionally muttering something about "it not being juicy enough"

The first Prinny responded to Bullet "I'm a Prinny, dood!"
The second Prinny continued to take pictures of Bullet. It seemed to be aiming at her shorts at the moment

"[sub]Maybe it's something about this planet...people won't give straight answers...Might be a custom...[/sub]" Royce said to Ryu.

Figaro engineers had worked painstakingly night and day to work on Edgar's new device based around alternate realities. At last came the day of the finishing touches as the last transistor was soldered into place.
"We'll have to keep this thing secret, this is entirely experimental do you understand?" Edgar said to the electrical engineer. The engineer nodded in return
"Are we ready for a test run? Initiate the 5th dimensional sequencer and locate a test realm."

Edgar and the other engineer pressed the buttons on a console that activated a huge gyroscope-like object that looked like it was giving off something very powerful.
"Such power! Now set the transport radius to that of the castle." With a few knobs and switches, a large blue sphere of bright light enveloped Figaro castle and teleported it underneath the sand of Dune.

"Your majesty, it looks as though a coordinate error has occurred. It looks as though we're beneath the sand of the test realm. Do you think that the sand gates will work here as well?"

"We might as well try. We gotta see what's above don't we?"

And with that a large rumbling occurred as Figaro castle slowly but surely emerged from the dunes, of well.... Dune.

Getting Closer to the city Doktor Chill noticed many strange creatures acting human or at least they fit into his definition of personified Insects, Animals and Other things. Noticing that most humanoids had some sort of respiration devices he pondered on "acquiring" one but decided against hostile actions this early into his bewildered journey, and he definitely didn't want to waste funds on frivolous things like blending in. The bar however looked promising.

"I'm outta here. Friendly advice- don't try to barter explosives for water- for some reasons they don't like it here."

"Sooo... What exactly are you?" she bent over slightly, trying to get a better looking view of what exactly is a 'Prinny'.

Being raised completely by men and being a mercenary, she hasn't a clue on any of societies norms.

Eve leaves the turret alone, faces Ryu and sticks her hands on her sides whilst giving him a 'Are you shitting me' face. "Do you want me to explain what he said to you then?"

The barkeep notices that Bryce was approaching the bar and handing over one of his weapons whilst apologising. "There's no need to apologise and keep your weapon, you haven't caused any trouble. Whereas..." says the Barkeep as he turns to face the gas masked man. "Thinks he can control me after what his kind have done to this town." When he heard the man start talking about the leader, the Barkeep lost it and delivered a round house punch to his face before scrambling over the bar after him.

"Taking our leave sounds like a wise move. It's clear there are no answers to be found here. Given the fact that some people seem to be incabable of giving straight answers." Balthier said to Bryce. He sighed upon seeing the barkeep punch the masked man in the face. He left the bar thinking, I'm not going to try and be the mediator again. I've done my good deeds for the day.

"Sadly, I'm kinda used to that." Ryu retorted to Royce. He looks to Eve. "First, you should calm down. Then, I'm all ears."

"No, I insist. From that speech of yours, you're about to lead a revolution against the gas heads. Best make sure you're armed for it. Besides, like it or not, that one guy is my buddy. I ain't about to let him get shot. So give scarf boy and the corporal here their answers again, while I pack us up and move us out." He walks back to his seat, punts the prinny taking pictures, grabs his duster and shrugs it on. "We need to find a refuge for the night anyway."

 

[Slenn]

"It looks as though the 5th dimensional sequencer needs a recharge after that first test run." The engineer said.
"Then that gives us enough time to scout out the area. Figaro engineers! The first to set foot on another realm from our homeworld!" Edgar walked upstairs to the barracks and ordered three detachments of armed scouts on chocobos to see if they can map out the current geography.

Edgar himself stood atop the tallest pillar on Figaro and looked around to direct the scouts by radio.

Royce just rubbed his hands together and looked on at the bartender nervously. He just tried to listen to Eve.

"Uh you still haven't said how many Earth credits the slushie is" He said taking a sip from it

Rozalin had been keeping tabs on what was going on around her as she sat and read. She sighed as she closed up her book and stood up. Why is it that these people are so tight-lipped when it comes to the name of their planet? She left tavern, pondering aloud to herself as she did, "There must be a library or book-store in this town somewhere. Surely it would...have..." She trailed off as she noticed a castle seeming to rise up out of the sand a decent distance from the town. "Well. That...certainly warrants investigation." She said to herself, trying not to get her own hopes up as she walked off towards the castle.

"Hey, wait! Where are you going?" Royce asked Roz as he grabbed her arm as gently as he could.

The Prinny responded to Bullet "I told you, I'm a Prinny dood! You're not very smart are you dood?" The second Prinny had switched from taking pictures of Bullet's lower half to her top half

Fenrich, who had been listening to Bullet and the Prinny talking, laughed and walked over "A Prinny is what happens to a vile human soul when someone dies. They are sent to the Netherworld and Celestia to serve, as punishment for their sins."

"I was going to find water elsewhere, but now... First of all that isn't a gas mask that is level 4 ballistic environmental helmet, so only my neck recognized that you punched me. Secondly you are again mixing me with someone else. GDI operates under UN directives ONLY on Earth. Even if someone wearing similar armor appeared here he wasn't representing our organization. So for the last time where I can find these creatures you are talking about?"

Eve sat cross-legged on the bar and just raised an eyebrow at Ryu.

The barkeep picked up the gas-masked man and chucked him out of the Tavern. Before returning to the bar, pouring himself something that was golden and had the consistency of honey and downing it in one go. He then faced the bar again and said "Sorry about that. Troublesome relations is all. What can I do for you all again?"

@Eve: *Clears throat* "YES!! Of course he wants to know!!"

One of the detachments of scouts on chocobos spotted Rozalin in the distance with binoculars. One of the them opened his radio to Edgar.
"Your majesty, we've spotted our first denizen on this realm. It's a human. Or at least I hope it is."

"Really? Are their more around it?"
The scout took another moment to get a gander at the woman once again.

"Doesn't look like it, but there's a town not far behind her in the distance."

"It's a she?!" Edgar's face lit up. "Proceed, I will ready my chocobo." And with that, Edgar proceeded to mount on his 'steed' and ride off towards the scouts.

Ryu stood up. "All I want to know is where I can find this town's mayor or leader. Tell me that and I'll be out of your hair."
