As Bryce explained his actions, some of the words used eluded me. However, I still understood what was being said. "So this plague was unleashed then. That doesn't suprise me. The grotesque vermin have a unnatural air about them, even by the standards of this strange land." I remarked, then paused as I looked at the corpses. "I hope you will be sucsesful then. I would like to come face to face with whoever unleashed this Hell."

"Well uh we could make a really large ladder up to the place"

"You know, you could ask me questions. Although the double act is a pretty decent one." Bryce jabs into another body. "So, you guys are like spirits from another realm then? Or is it more stargate style, with a device connecting two worlds?" Bryce nods at the vampires statement. "you and me both buddy."

 

[Random berk]

"I'm surprised you needed to test them to decide that the virus was manmade." Mercer said to Bryce. "Things like that just don't occur naturally. This was the work of a corporation called Gentek." He glared at Archimedes.
"Do I look like a man who has the patience for bullshit?"

"Well you are wearing a popped up collar shirt with a hoodie and a jacket with a collar. So I would say yes"

 

[Slenn]

<color=red>"Not quite. We're flesh and blood like you are. Only we deal with spirits, shades, ghosts, shinto magic, animal and elemental spirits. Either one of us has to deal with them when one of them causes an incident. If Marisa goes, it's for the stuff that could be collected."

"And if it's Reimu, it's because she's bored and has nothing else to do and it's her job." She said, and Reimu gave a small punch at Marisa's shoulder. Marisa shook her head and turned back to Bryce. "Well the portal is more like a mystical gate that can be opened occasionally. That's the only way we can gather information from there." She paused for a while. "What's a genetic code? And how do you translate it? Can anyone translate it?"

 

[Random berk]

In the tunnels, the pustules of the hives were gradually swelling more and more.

Mercer cracked his knuckles as Archimedes continued to let his mouth run away from him.
"No one ever taught you what a rheorical question was then?"

"Well they did but what's the point of asking a question if you don't want it answered"

"Basically, Genetic code is what tells your body how to build itself. Every time you grow, or get hurt, your genetic code tells you how to fix yourself or help yourself grow. It has your hair color, eyes, skin tone, your entire body is part of your genetic code. I translate it by looking it over and finding what doesn't belong. I can translate it, because I've got... It's kind of complicated. You might not want to hear about it." Bryce looks over to Alex. "Well, there's 'we messed up and the virus mutated.' and there's 'I want to kill absolutely everyone, I'll use this virus to do it.' Each one has a bit of a difference for it, and I know the difference."

Rex walks out of the inn and passes through the group without as much as an acknowledgment of anyone. His hoodie was zipped up and the hood was covering a majority of his face. People would notice a black mist emanating from the chain wrapped around his right arm. It was of a demonic nature. He walks away toward a nearby sewer cover and jumps in. [color=008888] Time to clean house, I guess... [/color]

Yukino yawns as she throws another infected corpse onto the large burning pile she amassed over the night. She walks out toward the group, seemingly unharmed, save for a few minor slashes on her coat. Noting Mercer, she waves at him. [color=BB66BB] "Hello there, hooded hellraiser. I'm guessing you're enjoying all of this carnage." [/color]

 

[Slenn]

"Oh okay. I think I gather what you're talking about. I've also heard from Eirin that our bodies are made mostly of cells. My guess is that these viruses and bacteria you and Eirin talk about also have a code."

OOC: Checking up on my laundry. 5 min.

OOC: @Dot Does Rex have a mask under his hood? Because the air in the nests themselves is contagious.

"My point was, either say something useful or shut the fuck up." Mercer snapped at Archimedes. "Because I swear to God, if you keep spouting that crap where I have to hear it, I'll impale you on that lamppost over there." With that he turned back to Bryce.
"Again, I guess you'd be right. The virus was developed as a bioweapon." And to Yukino;
"Aren't you? Come on. These infected make for great stress release."

Blondie continued to eye Alex wearily. He knew the man, to use the term loosely, was nothing but trouble. All he had to do was figure out how to do something about him.

"And don't forget about the liberty to loot the entire lower city now" He started messing with one of his light bulbs that landed next to him

OoC: @Random: Yeah, he does. Although... a Blacklighted Rex might end up being fun to play.

Rex climbs down the ladder and lands on a ledge over the sloshing waters of the sewer. He sighs, happy that he'd remembered to keep his gas mask on. Seeing the pulsing masses of fluid all over the walls, he places his hand on one and sends a huge electric charge through it, hoping it would travel through most of the other masses on his side.

Yukino winks a bit. [color=BB66BB] "Can't say I'm not enjoying slaying those things. Oddly enough, they haven't gotten tedious to dispose of yet." [/color]

As the others conversed, I stuck to the background, silently observing, until something would catch my interestas was my way. Noticed a man exit the building, his face concealed and seemingly surrounded by a miasma. Where was he going? I wondered. From what I had seen so far, seperating from the rest was unusual with these wayfarers. "Where are you headed?" I asked the person leaving. As he entered a sewer grate, I followed suit. There, I was revolted to find the organic mass that had grown on the walls. Although this was not the first time I had seen such a thing, it remained a disgusting sight.

Having shaken off their persuers, Ba'Gamnan and Gijuk had set about setting up several traps and roadblocks across the city. "They's took us by suprise last time. We won't make the same mistake twice." Ba'Gamnan remarked as he watched his brother place explosive devices in several strategic positions.
Gijuk only grunted in responce to the moot comment. "And hurry it up, would ye? The sooner we can grabs our pay, the better!"

"This would go much quicker if ye actually helped!"

Ba'Gamnan snorted at his brother's indignation. "Me? Do they heavy work? That's wot ye are for!"

 

[FPSfanatic]

Bryce smiled as he jabbed the third body. "Got it in one. So, want to do this back and forth, or do you have any other questions?"

@FPS. Was that to my characters or to Random's?

 

[Random berk]

The infected in the tunnel nexus all turned on Rex with a cacaphony of howls as he shocked the hive closest to him. It convulsed and then shriveled up as the charge went through it. Several around it convulsed as well, but didn't seem to die from the charge. The pustules embedded in them, which were now massively distended, began to squirm violently.

Mercer was surprised by Yukino's answer. He had expected outrage at his dismissal of what the infected were doing to the population.
"You enjoy handling the bodies, eh? Tell me, what did you do before you came to this world?" He asked with apparent interest.

Holly woke up and wondered about a little.

Black woke up slowly, she held her head as she sat up on the roof. Checking her armor and seeing that one booster was destroyed, she sighed and tried to fix it.
