Echo saw Riven working on her sword and walked over so she could look at it more closely. She was really only interested cause it was clearly magic, and that sort of thing always interested her.

OOC: I am surprised no one has tried to mock Echo yet.

"Well, all the nitty gritty was already done for me by the person who wrote the book. All the busy work was just trying to understand it."
<color=red>"Well, we use them to counter youkai when they run amok and cause incidents that upset the flow of nature. They're kind of like souls, ghosts, fairies, and spirits of nature and the elements."

The girls yawned.

"Well that's on the to do list, but I don't expect God to appear right away, I'll have to hunt him. I fear I need some rest for now though." said Valvatorez as he and Fenrich found spots to sleep

Rex would've asked more, but he noted the girls yawning and nodded, feeling a little tired himself. [color=008888] "Interesting...But we can continue talking about this some other time? I'm feeling kind of tired and I'm guessing you are too..." [/color]

Yukino heads out into the city once again.

"I'm getting too old for that sort of thing."

Seeing the child wander over to meet I raised an eyebrow at her, as she was eyeing my sword. "You want to see this thing better?" I asked her.

"See this thing better." Echo said with an enthusiastic nod and a smile, lacing her hands together in a pleading gesture.

OOC: @Riven: If you say so...

"That goes without saying." Marisa chuckled. She packed up the console from the arm computer as best as she could. "This little collector's item keeps getting better and better."
<color=red>"Mmmmm..." Reimu grunted, wanting to go back home.
"Alrighty, I'll open the portal." She said. And she recited the incantation for Gensokyo. On the other side of the portal, Rex could see a forest with a two story cottage under the veil of nighttime.
"It's been good talking to you. G'night!" And the 6 foot portal closed.

OOC: G'night!

 

[Chungus]

"Good night to the both of you." Yeul said to Valvatorez and Fennrich as they left, then looked up to Caius. "I am rather tired also. Shall we rest for the night?"
"Of course."

With that, the duo entered the appartment complex and found a unoccupied room. Yeul climbed into bed and fell asleep almost instantly. Caius pulled up a chair and positioned it near the bed and the exit. He too soon fell asleep.

OoC: I'm off too.

I shrugged at the child. "Unfortunately, it is still rather heavy so I'll have to hold it up to you."

I rested the sword between my arms as I crouched down to Echo's level, extending my arms over to her with the sword.

Rex waves bye toward the girls before he tucks into bed himself.

"Rather heavy..." Echo muttered as she looked at the runes in the sword. She pointed to one and looked up at Riven.

"A rune of strength... Since this sword was once even heavier than it is now." I smiled at the child. It was obvious that this one wouldn't know anything about Noxian culture or wizardry...

Plus, I do happen to have a little spot for children, being the former poster child of Noxus and all.

"Rune of strength..." Echo repeated as she cautiously laid her hand on the sword and traced the lines of a few runes.

"A few more ok? I'm tired." I said firmly to Echo before continuing. "A rune of warriors and lastly" (OoC: Since the sword breaks around there) "A rune of death. But not because of what the weapon can do, but a lack of it for the owner."

Internally I sighed. There are two more runes left on the sword... And fate has it that it breaks there. The sword does indeed mirror it's owner.

"Warriors...and death..." Echo said as she shuddered and took her hand away from the sword. For a moment she was concerned about how to express her gratitude without speaking. She quickly decided that a quick hug and a smile would have to suffice. After that, she went to sleep next to Holly in the inn.

I was quite surprised with Echo hugging me, but did nothing against it. Back home, the children would respect you... and your personal space.

Brushing off the feeling, I headed back inside and fell asleep on the same bed as I woke up, with Aisha still snoozing away. Lazy foxgirl...

Night.

Bryce paused in his patrol to look out into the city. "You know, I bet if you took a picture of me right now, I'd look like some guy from fallout. Will wonders ever cease?" He shrugged and continued his patrol, wandering around the apartment.

Cath taps Bryce on the shoulder.
"Yo."

Bryce looked up, and turned to look at Cath. "Uh hey. You new?"

Eve continued making her way cautiously through the city whilst flanked by the large man. They had both encountered creatures that resembled the strange infected mutants that everyone else had been fighting in the lower city whilst they were searching for where the group had taken refuge.

At the base the group had attempted to raid previously, a contingent of Infantry Men as well as a separate contingent of Androids left the base and began scouring the city streets whilst both groups were being led by Overseers.
