Dresden shrugs, "My minds a bit fuzzy, but I believe... 'Magic in its simplest form is the energy produced by life. Practitioners are able to use this energy to modify reality." he says.
He finally looks around, "Uh... okay, what's going on?..." he mutters.

Causer hears a broadcast on his radio. He holds down the broadcast button and says, "This is Corporal Eric Causer. Current time, date and location is unknown, over."

Jensen sat as well, at the side of the table closest to a wall.
"Microsoft Word? I haven't seen a device specifically programmed to run that since back when Kindle's were the preferred literary medium. I could probably tweak an e-boo though." Jensen took a paper thin frame with a translucent blue screen from his pocket and laid it on the table before fiddling with the settings. After a few minutes he sat back.
"That should accept the right format now. Good point, by the way. I hadn't considered the issue of money here. Doesn't look like the kind of place where a simple credit transfer would work."

"So your saying that this world is only one planet. Are there stars there"

Black was picking up the radio messages on her Transmitter, but they were fuzzy and unclear. "Hmm....that's a shame...." She said, as she put it back in her pocket. "No....I kinda wish there was...." She said to Lld.

"Okay, let me just send it..." His armcomp beeped once to indicate the sent message, before beeping again to indicate it had received a message. "Huh, didn't think I'd get radio reception here. Care to listen?" He then taps it to hear Sergeant Varran's open broadcast, played so that anyone in the bar could hear it if they strained to listen.

Rex cautiously sipped the potion Sable passed him. Eventually, Rex downed it quickly and smiled. [color=008888] "I owe you one, knight dude. If you ever break those weapons of yours, come find me. I'll fix it right up." [/color] Rex gives Sable a thumb up before walking into the tavern.

Balthier takes his time looking around town, taking in the sights and smells. Not quite the jewel in the desert. But it's preferable to being outside its waslls.

Rozalin noticed that the buildings the others were going into was a tavern. She'd read about such places as being dens of vulgarity, so she chose to stay outside for the time being. "Earth? I think I've read about that place....From what I understand, Veldime shares a similar climte." Rozalin replied to Daniel. She actually didn't know if that was the truth of not, but she just wanted to give him an answer in the hopes that he would stop asking about it. Turning back to Royce, she looked rather perplexed. "But why? I simply don't understand. I was slower than you by far. And I'm nothing but a stranger, I don't even know your name. Why would you risk your life to help me?"

Black wondered into the town and looked around for a supply shop.

"Well nice to meet you Miss." Ild joined back up with Daniel "What did you do in Veldime any way."

"Go ahead." Jensen said, and leaned forward slightly to listen to the broadcast.

"Well that's...T-that's what good people do...right?" Royce said with a nervous smile, rubbing his hands together.

Black simply nodded, then walked into a shop and went about buying batteries and wires for her Transmitter.

The broadcast finishes afterwards, descending into static for a few seconds before the recorder realized there would be no more transmissions. "Huh. Well, I suppose we should send a radio message to him. You want to do it, or should I?"
