Valvatorez began following Bullet "Now hold on Lass, how do you expect to pay for that?"

Fenrich actually pondered Balthiers comment "Not necessarily, you see, that royal demon is from a different Netherworld entirely, and I've met a few people who claim to be from multiple different Netherworlds. Perhaps your world is the exception to the rule?"

Black sat back with her eyes closed, quietly relaxing by herself.

Bryce finally managed to get to the castle gates, feeling sore and tired from the day before. "two questions. One, is that an airship? Two. Where the hell is the owner of this castle?"

Bullet smiled at Edgar and started following after him as well. Turning back to Valvatorez she said. "I'll figure out something.... And hopefully I won't end up like my squadmate Crowe 'Hobo' Broust."

OoC: Its an obscure joke with the name Crowe Broust. If you guys want an explanation, I'd be more than happy to explain it.

 

[Slenn]

Edgar waved to Bullet as he passed her.

"One, yes that is an airship. And two, that would be me." Edgar said, addressing Bryce. "My name is Edgar Figaro. Who might you be?"

 

[FPSfanatic]

"I'm Bryce Logan, and I'm about to kick your ass." Bryce proceeds to charge Edgar, intent on smashing his head in.

 

[Chungus]

"Where I am from, there is no such thing as a Netherworld. Demons are a earthly as any other being. I don't claim to know how many realms out there have a Netherworld, but I can assure you, mine does not." Balthier said to Fennrich. He gave Edgar a brief wave with a loose wrist when he greeted him.

 

[Slenn]

"Not so fast!" Edgar said and he whipped out his flash device, sending out an intense amount of light energy, intent on damaging and blinding Bryce to the nth degree.

After which, Edgar strafed quickly out of the way of Bryce.

"Guards! Seize him!" A couple of mounted chocobos came rushing in for Edgar's aid with shotguns.

The flash is supposed to deal non-elemental magic damage, plus blinding.

Valvatorez continued to follow Bullet "I want you to promise me that you'll find a way to pay me back... who's Crowe Broust?"

Fenrich replied dryly "A pity."

Bryce let out a grunt at being blinded, but thought back to his southern American hunts. "Caesar, guide me by echo." he then started echolocating, and saw edgar ducking out of the way. "COWARD! Just like last night, you run and have others do your work!"

Black opened her eyes and poured a bit more tea for herself, then sat back again.

Rozalin noticed Edgar and started to approach to let him know about what she had seen. Then she noticed Bryce attempting to fight him for some reason and backed up. I am surrounded by barbarians.

 

[Slenn]

"You call me a coward after what I suffered through last night? I defend and rebuild this castle just as much as my own men! Because it is my home!"

He pulled out his auto crossbow, and fired four or so crossbow bolts in rapid succession at Bryce. The other two guards shot out sandbags from their shotguns to knock the wind out of him.

OOC: It's kind of like a cross between a machine gun and a crossbow. I don't really get how it's supposed to work. XD

Bullet still had her afterimage-glow as she saw Bryce try and hit Edgar only to be flanked by bright light and Chocobo troops.

She sighed. "That was... Rather stupid of him." Turning back to Valvatorez she sighed. "Ok to be honest, how exactly am I going to pay you back? We're in a land that virtually none of us know about and I refuse to resort to stealing." She paused then said.

"Crowe Broust was a former squadmate of mine. Everybody called him 'Hobo' because of his unfortunate luck of being dragged into some scheme that would drain him of his money. Good sniper with a long-range Armagus, but the unfortunate part was that sometimes that armagus would force his mind onto a sole mission to do, so say kill everything. We had to install a Coin Drop System to his ear that would record back at base camp a coin dropping that would add more to his debt. Not that he wasn't thankful, but he did get rather annoyed that we too were paying attention to how much debt he had."

@All: Some things were explained in the quote above. Crowe Broust is from Super Robot Wars Z2, and yes most of that stuff about him and his debt are completely true.

 

[Chungus]

Balthier was about to reply to Fennrich when Bryca began attacking Edgar. He wondered wherther or not he should get involved, but drew his rifle regardless. Then, he heard a unfamliar voice and turned around to see Rumble. Another hostile, maybe? Dismissing the thought for now, Balthier turned back to Bryce and took aim.

"How many people, you bastard? How many people died last night while your troops sat back and defended against attacks?" Bryce gasps as both the crossbow bolts caught him, and the sandbags impacted against him. "how many died because the town wasn't your problem?" he groans, curling into a ball at the pain.

Black slowly got up from her seat and wondered over to the fight, holding her tea in her hands. "Can't we have one day without a fight?" She asked no one in particular, then took a sip of tea.

 

[Slenn]

The guards marched over and put Bryce's hands in metal clamps. Edgar kneeled down to Bryce's level and scowled at him.
"Do you know how many of my men died because of some mercenary's stunt during that fight in the town? The entire third floor and everyone who was up there died. I had never ventured inside that town since my arrival here, and nor did anyone else want to get involved either. If you want to blame someone for the deaths in your town, it's not just me you should be after."

 

[Furioso]

Valvatorez responded to Bullet "Oh I'm sure we'll figure something out, now promise me!"
