It was called McCartney. It was in the middle of a neighborhood. So many times, I would beg for food, and they would walk away, calling me scum for being a carrier. You can see the tatts-" he looks for them, but realizes they were gone. "well shit. Thought I'd have those things forever."
"Firstly, it may please you to know I shot the woman responsible for the destruction of your castle. Although the shot didn't kill her, I am almost certain it did enough damage to ensure she won't be able to take up arms again." Balthier explained as he followed Edgar.
Bullet sighed and got up, seeing nothing better to do. She actually wanted to check up on Black so she followed her last known area she was going but eventually found Rozalin as well. Bullet raised an eyebrow as she approached her.

"post plague, ten years. That entire time, I helped hunt warlords and criminals, but the moment they realized I was a carrier, they forgot it all sharpish." Bryce watches Edgar, examining his features. "they decided, at about the one year mark, that we cost too much to keep. Tried to massacre us."
Ryu was looking up into the sky on the highest point of the castle still standing. So once more, there is someone living up high that thinks they know what is best for the world... Or is this just ill intent? I suppose it doesn't matter. I should deal with them the same no matter what.

Seeing as how there would be nothing to gain from doing so, Balthier didn't intend to interfere and sat down on some rubble instead.

"disease. It makes you strong, or fast, or deadly, depending on it. Carriers got personalized versions, able to grow claws and spit acid. I hunted them, when they went rogue and tried to infect others."
"Oh most certainly." Rozalin replied to Bullet as she took another drink. "This has been one of the few moments since arriving here that I have been capable of enjoying." She overheard the two Yordles arguing from her seat in the courtyard and sighed once again, though this time she was obviously annoyed.

"Ah. You're also still alive." Balthier called out to Ryu upon seeing him, raising his voice slightly to make himself heard. "I hadn't seen you during the battle yesterday and assumed you died in the blast. Glad to see that isn't the case. We could do with your sword-arm in the days to come." His gaze then returned to the two arguing Yordles. I wonder how long it will take before those two will start throwing explosives around...
"Let them argue. It is none of my concern. As long as they don't cause problems, they can do what they want." Ryu replied to York.
He looked over to Balthier. "Yes, I was observing the battle. I wanted to see what their intentions were. I also figured I could help defend this castle if they attacked it. I wasn't aware of the sabotage they had prepared, though." He explained.
