Balthier cocked an eyebrow upon hearing Ryu's explaination. Hate him? That's not the case. I think he's a odd man, but that could hardly be considdered hate. Dismissing the thought, he walked over to Ryu. "So you are a Wyrm that cab take on the shape of a Hume. Or perhaps the other way around. Either way, I was wondering why it is you have blue hair."

"Unlikely. I don't usually transform into forms out of my own control." Ryu said and thought for a moment.
"But that person I fought used some sort of magic seal to drain my life force. I was near death when I transformed. Perhaps that had an affect on it?"
He looked over to Rozalin. "You all right?" I'm actually surprised no one is taking this differently...
He looked over to Balthier when he asked him a question.That's about what I expected.
"Sort of. I'm a Brood. I was born as a dragon. When I die, I will likely take the form of a dragon. But this is more or less my natural state. I am able to transform into various other dragon forms, as well."

OoC: @nail well if Joel was a hyper intelligent, smart alecky hive mind then yeah, I can see the comparison. I assume Joel was a previous WAOA character?
@FPS. You have no idea how freaking crazy Joel was. He had psychic powers, a psychotic mess of a mind, a damaged past, and was always a real asshole. He's from a webcomic called Concession, and is an anthropomorphic black wolf. His perverted side was kinda cute at first hand with EMily (because I also thought it was a little funny too), but then it kinda got out of hand.

Rozalin perked up slightly at the mention of beef stew from Zach. Finally, something that may yet satisfy me. She went and helped herself to a bowl, sighing happily as she ate. Hearing Ryu, she turned her head to him and said, "Yes, I am fine. I simply remembered something...someone I need to get back to at home." As if I didn't have enough reasons already to want to leave this place. She listened intently to the explanation Ryu gave to Balthier. I was curious about that as well, but I wasn't sure if it was rude to ask about or not...

@slenn ...For a second there I'd thought you'd gotten ahold of my early notes for Caesar. He was supposed to develop multiple hive minds as he constantly evolved, and tear himself apart. And yeah, seeing an object coming at the speed of light is bullshit.

"As for dieing and being reborn, simply put, I was hoping to find some friends of mine, after an incident, and instead ran into those responsible for their disappearance. One of them freaked out that I was still alive and ended up stabbing me in the back. When he did, I reverted to my dragon form. From that point on, I had control over the powers and they only grew from there."

"Quite a tale." Balthier replied, then ate some of the stew. Despite being rather hungry, he managed to keep himself from quickly work it down, keeping some grace about him. Turning around to face Ryu again, he said, "A tale that managed to suprise me, even though I believed surely nothing more could possibly suprise me. after having seen all the wierd things here. Back to the topic, since you are reborn a Wyrm when you die, that effectively makes you immortal, no?" Looking back at Zacharian, Balthier shrugged slightly. "Most likely, he's feeling down because a person he has feelings for has been abducted. That's what I assume. I'm uncertain. As for where he are? A place called the Expanse. That is what we've been told at least."

Ooc: @Fps: As I recall, this wasn't really mind control so much as influence. Conall trusted him no matter what. No matter who he tried to kill. No matter who he asked Conall to kill. No matter who approached him and begged him to stop or to come to his senses. It literally broke the character. Plus, neither of them would ever die or stay dead.

"Of course I will. I am the daughter of Overlord Zenon after all, I will allow anything to stop me." Rozalin said in reply to Ryu. She finished her helping of stew, then yawned as she began to feel extremely tired. "I believe the days events have worn me out. I bid you all goodnight." She said as she stood up and wandered about, looking for a place to bed down for the night. Finding naught but potato sacks, she scowled in disapproval, but was too tired to even complain, so she simply accommodated and fell asleep.
