Charlie looked up at Rex.
"The north and south poles are Earth's largest deserts." he pointed out. "And that doesn't change the fact that THERE IS NO SNOW HERE, DESPITE WHAT I WAS TOLD!" he screamed at the sky.
Charlie angrily kicked a load of sand, then lost his balance and tumbled down the small dune towards Rex. He landed flat on his back and extended a hand.
"Charlie Morgan, very lost dimensional mercenary."

"Oh. um... okay. [sub]Hello Bryce.[/sub]" Eve said before following him over to the wall and sitting down against it with a sigh. She then asked Bryce. "What did you just call me? Carka? What does that mean?"

"Cyar'ika. Pronounced Cee are ika. It means 'one you hold in your heart." Bryce blushed a bit, his ears turning a bit red. "Sorry, I really shouldn't be saying that stuff. Are you okay? Were you treated alright?"

He dusts off part of Charlie's jacket as he stands up. [color=008888] "That thing can't be comfy to wear in this place." [/color]

"Is that what's causing these halucinations? If so, then yes. Please do." Balthier said to Royce, rubbing the bridge of his nose. Although the headaches had gone, the process of having memories that weren't his blend with his own and the subsequent halucinations had left him feeling rather desorientated.

"Alright then. Here goes nothing..." Royce said as he aimed his Phoenix at Bal and fired a healing beam.

Black gave a small bow to Ratsel before she left. She then walked along the deck and lent against the wall, she let out a small sigh. "This world and the next....."

Holly looked around and just sat down in a corner, fiddling with some wires on her plunger.

"No, it isn't. But, as I mentioned, I planned for colder climes."
Charlie removed the heavy clothes, revealing much more casual clothing, and a messenger bag, underneath. He took the bag off, unzipped it, placed the clothing inside, and finally removed a pair of sunglasses. He slid them over his blue eyes and slung the bag over his shoulder.
"So, what does being an interdimensional test subject entail?" he asked.

 

[Chungus]

"I don't feel any diferent..." Balthier said to Royce. As if on cue, the silhouette walked into Balthier's line of sight and stopped infront of him. She leaned slightly closer and gave him a friendly wave. Balthier grunted and closed his eyes. "It didn't work, I'm sad to say." he said to Royce, shaking his head slightly. The silhouette threw her arms in the air and walked off.

"Oh." said Eve before looking away as her face started colouring again. She was quiet for a moment before answering Bryce's question. "I-I think I'm okay. Someone seems to have healed the bruising that was on my arms and legs and since you didn't react at anything being wrong with my neck they fixed that too. It was horrible Bryce. I was locked up like an animal and treated as if at any moment I could be killed. Not to mention the man that kept spouting about success in his life if he married me and kept having someone beat me in order to 'teach' me manners." Eve looked back at Bryce sadly with some tears in her eyes. "[sub]But I think I'm okay now."[/sub]" she said quietly.

"Oh...I'm...really, really sorry..." Royce said to Bal, putting his gun away and rubbing his hands.

Rex scratches his head and looks toward the sky. [color=008888] "Basically, a friend of mine has been working on an interdimensional portal, and I came here through the prototype version of one. I probably should have asked about actually getting back to my own dimension, but y'know... I usually jump at the chance to travel new places. For now, I'm just floating around with this group." He looks back toward Charlie. [color=008888] "And you're an interdimensional mercenary, huh? Sounds like fun..." [/color]

"No need to appolagise." Balthier said to Royce, opening his eyes again. "There was no way you could have known healing me back there would make matters worse in the long run."

Black continued to relax, she had her eyes closed as she lent against the wall.

Bryce wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "I'm sorry. We should have gotten you out sooner. Thankfully, the guy was a moron. He's been well taken care of, and you lived. Now only time will tell our next plan." he absentmindedly rubbed her shoulder. "hey, you want me to grab your helmet?"

"It has its moments." Charlie grinned. "Of course, sometimes the dimension is pretty grim. Or sometimes, your engineer tells you to dress for snow, and you wind up in a desert."

[color=008888] "Should probably introduce you to the others." [/color] He signaled for Charlie to follow him as he walked toward the deck, then he stopped suddenly as he came up to Holly. [color=008888] "Woah...A new girl?" [/color] He squats down to face her at eye level and waves at her. [color=008888] "Yo. Where'd you pop up form?" [/color]
