He smiled at her, though. "Good to hear that you're no coward. One day, maybe we'll spar. Still, you should know that sometimes there are better options to merely standing and fighting no matter how strong you are. And sometimes even the strongest warriors can't defeat a foe, even if that foe is inferior." He closed his eyes, as he spoke those last words.

"You know, its disturbing when I see a giant hat-man, and I think 'so does he shit hats as well?' Instead of screaming in confusion and fear." Bryce laughed. "Okay, we'll see if he likes fire." He grows wings and catapults forward, flames flickering from his mouth.

My amazement of seeing the duo of mechanical mostrosities had not even passed before it was replaced by the asstonishment I felt upon seeing a entity seemingly composed solely of headwear. The absurdity of it, I could not comprehend. As if the being in and of itself was not absurd enough, it claimed it would rule over mortal races? Truly, such madness I have never heard. It would most likely be disposed of in a manner of minutes by the others on this flying construct, yet I wondered if I too should join in the effort to take down this being.

Rex nods as Bryce jets forward and begins aiming the gun toward the 'head hat' of the monster. Due to his sync-up the day before, his gun is charging up a lot faster than usual.

As usual, a bit of blood runs from Rex's mouth as the charge increases.

Yukino nods along solemnly. [color=BB66BB] "I'm afraid the option of running or fighting isn't really in my hands... And I know the feeling of not being able to defeat those under you... Rex is an example for me." [/color]

Ratsel sighed as the hat monstrosity disappeared as she descend to the deck. "My, my. What a day..."

Rin however landed on the far end of the ship, removing her helmet and enjoying the ride to wherever the carrier was heading.

Bryce stared as the hat disappeared. "See what I mean?! Caesar yelled. "Before, I would have asked what just happened. Now I wonder if there are giant hats made of people, and if he teleported to a giant hat habadashery. Would that be his version of a hospital? I don't know." Bryce swung low and landed next to Rex. "So uh... Where were we? Something about Arianna?"

Majeh opens his eyes and explains. "It's not always something like that. For example, I fought an army of Shegwes with a group of fighters. Now, any one of us could defeat them easily."
"However, the problem comes from the nature of Shegwes. They are Lesser Demons that attach themselves to corpses to move. Even if you break the bodies, they will simply reform them and come back for more. No matter how badly you beat them, they will never stay down."

Majeh thinks for a moment. "I'm guessing you can't defeat Rex due to your feelings, right?"

Yukimaru placed her hands on her hips and adopted a stern expression. [color=01B7FF]"Come on now, tell the truth, zam. Since you killed the only other person who can give another side of this story, we need you to be absolutely honest, zam. Just explain the situation as best you can, zam. What were you doing that caused the man to chase you, zam?"[/color] Noticing the gleam coming off of Aggie's pocket, she pointed and asked, [color=01B7FF]"And what's that, zam? It seems...familiar, zam."[/color]

Bryce roared and jumped back. "Okay, everbody sit still while I just burn this overgrown hat to the ground." He charges forward again, wings stretching out. "Be honest now hat-man, are the birds hats as well?"

Blondie went to sleep, making sure to lock his door.

Royce would keep standing guard.

Majeh nods. "Did my story help? And why would you want to harm him, anyway? I'm not too clear on that?"
Could that sword have something to do with it?

Rozalin finally found her machine-gun and brought it out, for in case the hat-monster decided to attack. "It occurs to me that I've yet to name this thing..." She muttered to herself as she started focusing more on her new task than paying attention to the hat-monster.

@Caesar: I've got it! The birds are those hats with propellers on them!

"I was crawling through the vents like I sometimes do back home and he chased after me. See, I did nothing." Aggie said fussily. "What's what?" she looked down at her jacket and noticed the gleam.
