Bryce smiled at her reaction. "Yeah, I prefer science fiction, although there are a few other genres available." He waved as they left.
Idranel sat as the runes of witnessing flowed around her while she contemplated the strands of fate.
Somewhere deep in the lower city a portal opened and a figure stepped out. He looked around at the general disarray and rampant destruction of the street he was on. Further down the street he saw what appeared to be large hairless creatures feasting on a pile of corpses. "Hmm." he thought as he took in the scene before raising his hands and began tapping causing light squares to momentarily flash in mid air as screens appeared around him. After some tapping two black handguns with neon stripes appeared floating in mid-air. The man holstered one and grabbed the other before firing two shots at the feasting Brawlers instantly reducing them to black puddles of slag that disappeared within moments. He holstered the second gun before tapping some more and visibly disappearing from view. The screens then closed as he began making his way through the city.

Eve woke up to find herself lying on top of a building. "Huh what am I doing up here?" she asked in a tired voice.

The Sand Wraiths burst forth from the undergrowth of the forest and within seconds arrived beneath the city of Troika. They peered up at the floating city with eagerness.

The dark tornado continued it's journey of destruction through the forest tearing up and throwing away random trees, some of which had been by a previous pursuer, as it headed towards the city.
