"I don't like any of this..." Royce muttered as he nervously glanced around with his Rossmore out.

Blondie gave a subtle nod in agreement as he carefully adjusted Holly in his arms.

They both decided they might as well follow the others into the tunnel, both of them having to stoop thanks to their height.

Oh also Archimedes was still cutting through that wall

Rex looks over at Roz, a little perplexed. [color=008888] "Feel free to move anytime, Princess...." [/color]

Yukino doesn't even flinch as she places her hand the humming panel. -ssssssss- [color=bb66bb] I've used flames that burn more than this. What a joke... [/color] She ascends the ladder with a bit of an annoyed look on her face.

Yukimaru went up the ladder, hurrying past the wall panel as the heat it gave off made her very uncomfortable to be around. As she ascended, she tried to make out what was ahead of her, seeing as how she didn't have anywhere else to look.

Seeing that everyone else had moved into the passageway, and having no intention to get left behind, Rozalin sighed and entered as well. Though it took her quite a while to catch up with the others. "Well pardon me for not leaping at the chance to wedge myself in a cramped space." She spat back at Rex.

 

[TilMorrow]

As they neared the top of the ladder, the group would see that it was capped off with a metal disc and it was apparent that it had been moved recently due to the bit of light peeking through the side.

 

[Slenn]

@Dot. The hot panel was on the wall, not the floor.

Reimu floated up the ladder, and Marisa climbed it.

OOC: Oh goodness, I'm so glad I'm not controlling 4 characters at the same time anymore. XD

Yukimaru, having been in the lead, pushed the disc up slightly, doing so as quietly as possible. With the disc lifted just enough for her to peer outwards, she looked around to see what the surroundings were on the other side before proceeding.

Bryce stopped behind Yukimaru, and dug out sn anti grav 'nade. "Hope it leads out to street level, so we can disperse. God, I could use a bath and a hot meal."

@Slenn: I'm so bad with details lately. I'm starting to feel extremely idiotic...

Yukino climbs up after the Touhous.

Rex chuckles a bit as he follows Roz. [color=008888] "If you've got enough energy to sass me, something like this shouldn't be a problem." [/color] He seals off the passageway by taking the panel and fitting back into place from inside the passage. He's then forced to travel the entire passage backwards. [color=008888] Woo.... Crabwalks... minus all the fun... [/color]

Royce follows up the ladder without a problem, but Blondie has to pause a moment to figure out how to carry Holly. He eventually decided he would have to climb with only one arm while the other held the small girl over his shoulder.

Archimedes while trying to go through the wall noticed this was going to take a while. He started to pile up explosives next to the force field

As Yukimaru peers out she would see an immediate contrast to the lower city. Firstly it wasn't as noisy and everything at first glance appeared to be so very white and pristine. After some looking around she would notice some various areas of green where gardens and trees grew along the street that very few people were walking along. Most of them were fancily dressed and didn't wear the gas masks that adorned the faces of the military and citizens below however their outlooks did appear very grim. There were a few Infantry Men casually patrolling the streets and not necessarily looking for anyone. She would also notice that in addition to some of the buildings that were directly built on the ground of the Upper City, there also those that appeared to float in mid air and were chained to the ground with lifts similar to those that they used to access the lower city as they only means of reaching them. The ladder itself came out in a clean alleyway between two buildings.

"Yukimaru, we need to unass. We going to get shot before we step outside? Because that's the only reason not to go at this point."

 

[Drakmorg]

Seeing that the surroundings seemed less hostile than she was expecting, Yukimaru turned back to looking down the ladder. She addressed everyone by saying, [color=01B7FF]"I think we're in luck, zam. This seems to lead up to the street, zam. It doesn't look like what we did set off a panic or a man-hunt either, zam. We should probably space our exits so we seem less suspicious though, zam."[/color] After sending her message down, she climbed up out of the hole and into the alleyway when no one seemed to be looking her way.

"It is less an issue of energy, and more one of...space." Rozalin replied to Rex. Brushing past the heated panel, her dress nearly caught fire, but she managed to hustle past quickly enough that it only received a small scorch mark.

Bryce sighed, waited a minute, and pulled himself out, heading out to the walkway across the street, hoping to find a good sight line. Before he went out, he hid his weapons.

 

[Demonjazz]

Archimedes piled what he thought was a decent amount of explosives. And walked a good distance from them before setting the explosives off

[color=008888] "...They got pills for that, Princess." [/color] Rex comments bluntly as he passes by the burning panel. He winces a bit as his hoodie gains a new burn mark on the sleeve as he crawls by.

Yukino just sighs at the news. [color=bb66bb] "You'd think the security for someplace so large and grandiose would be a lot less lax. [small] ...aside from those cannons. [/small]" [/color]

 

[Slenn]

Reimu and Marisa climbed out along with Yukimaru.

"Okay, need to jot down this location for the portal next time." She took out a pen from her satchel, and wrote out the incantation in a notepad for the book, which was also kept in the satchel.

<color=red>"We should get back to Gensokyo and go see Eirin immediately. That smog stuff has me worried."

"But it's so late, Reimu. Can't it wait until later?"

<color=red>"I know it's bothersome, but we have to see her. I know it's late, and I would rather go to bed and lax out than march my way over there, but we have to. Now let's go back, alright?"

"Okay then. See you tomorrow guys. We'll be sure to find you." Marisa recited the incantation for the portal to Gensokyo. It was nighttime on the other side. The girls stepped into the portal and hustled their way over to Eirin's.

OOC: Alright I'm off to go to bed.

"What?! What are you insinuating?...Never mind. I'd rather not hear." Rozalin climbed up the ladder, then waited in the alleyway for the moment. She was quite pleased with the surroundings she found herself in. "Well, this is quite the pleasant change of pace." She said to no one in particular as she took a deep breath, pleased to find that it didn't fill her with the desire to vomit as the previous city's air had.

Yukimaru walked out into the street and started taking a look around as well.

Archimedes explosives caused a whole lot of smoke and dust to appear. After it cleared there was a hole in front of where the barrier was however it had only succeeding it moving a few panels and didn't extend to the bottom emitters of the barrier. The barrier itself had a rather a small crawlspace of a hole appear that immediately began sealing until it was too small to pass through.

Eve had been following behind the others as they had made their way through the hidden passageway and winced when she accidentally laid her hand on the hot panel before immediately retracting it. She kept after the others as they arrived at the ladder.
