Waves gently washed over a beach of pearly-white sands. It was a shadowy realm, with the waters of the sea near the beach a ethereal blue, but had a darker hue further away from the beach, turning pitch-black at the horizon. Clouds, of all sort of shades of grey hung unmoving in the sky. Away from the sea, a vast, yet wholy dead city with a palace towering over the other buildings standing in mute surender in the centre.
Along the beach, a girl walked. Her green eyes, that although could be discribed as sad, had a spark of contentment about them. She had long dark-blue hair, reaching her hips with two strands framing her face. She wore a white halter-like top with an opening in the center and a small, transperant crystal above her chest. She wears a short wrap-around pleated white and pastel purple skirt with a fur pelt in the back, along with bright yellow boots. Her wrists are adorned with numerous bracelets, and she wears armbands on her biceps and beaded necklaces.
Following close behind was a tall, muscular man with violet eyes and purple hair that reached his neck and was adorned with feathers and tribal beads. He wore a black and purple headband and form-fitting armour that was made of both leather and carbon fiber. He carried a large, demonic-looking sword with a red eye near the hilt.
"Yeul. I am against this." The man remarked, now walking next to the girl.
"It is my birthday soon. As a present, I'd like to travel. See new things" The girl replied, her voice lower then one would expect from a girl her size.
For a time, the man remained silent, but eventually nodded. "Very well then. If that is what you wish.
As the two walked, they began to fade. Becoming more and more transparant with each step, until they could be seen, no more.

In the city of Troika, the duo re-emerged. The girl smiling slightly as she took in the sights. The man, however, only followed stoically, his facial expression unchanging.
As self-centered as the citizens of Troika were, none of them noticed the duo emerging out of thin air, let alone took notice of their out-of-place appearance.
"In this place... Can you still see?" The man asked the girl as they explored the city. "Yes."
The man remained silent upon hearing the girl's answer.
