Rounding the corner, I spotted a few beings that were transformed with strange blackness on them. Hulking biomasses all of them. I ready my sword in eagerness. Finally... The true taste of death can finally..!

Rushing in at some of the infected, I slash at the first one infront of me. Twirling around, I spin slash to another one then jump into the air with an impact blade as the ground itself shook from the impact, stunning other infected around me.

The fox however observed from a far distance away.

A smile creeps onto Yukino's face as she sees the charging infected. Taking a deep breath, she steps and slashes once, sending a large horizontal fireball toward the mob. She, then spins around and sends another fireball of equal size behind her.

Seeing a hand of one of the infect held a part of his armour in a death grip, he man brushed off with a frown, then turned to the nearest cluster of infected. He first jabbed his sword into the ground, then swung it up, breaking apart the stonework of the street and sending pieces of debris flying towards the mutants. Using this to cover his advance, he charged at them. When near, he jumped up, reaching normal height this time, and spun around in mid-air, swinging his sword from left to right, the jump adding more force to the swing.

As Mercer sliced through bodies, he would encounter Bryce in his new form, and have his blade meet another. "Oh come now, mister Mercer. The Helotry expected more from a fellow virus carrier. At the very least, you should have conquered those fools you fought, instead of running like a scared child." Bryce wielded a blade very similar to Mercers, his arm morphed into a version of his.

OoC: Back, can I step into this battle somewhere?

OOC: Yeah... sorry about this, but posts seem to be coming in slowly now, and I can't stay up much longer. I'll have to call it in, but I'll leave plenty of infected for people to play with.
@Furi Just start killing infected. I can't stay long enough to make a proper battle of it, so once Mercer say his piece I'll leave you to do whatever twisted things to them that you can think of.

Mercer paused as he heard the sound of metal slicing through flesh again and again and smelled burning flesh. He scowled.
"You bastards just can't resist pissing me off, can you?" He muttered, before erupting in a web of tendrils again and striking a number more people. This would speed the infection. There were less this time, as it expended a lot of biomass to carry out such an attack, and he had no intention of being caught short next time he faced the group. He silently urged the infected to throw everything they had at the group. His influence over them wwas tenuous at best, but it would be enough to keep the others busy. As he did so, he heard the sound of a blade in the air and slashed out with his own, meeting Bryce in midair. For a moment he was thrown by the strange face, but then it clicked.
"Ah, my doppelganger." He sneered. "I must say, you interest me. You interest me greatly. Why resist my mission? I intend to spread my gift to the world! Our gift! The strongest among them deserve to evolve as we have, don't you agree? With your help, perhaps that dream can finally be realised!"

The number of infected rushing the combatants became steadily heavier as more people were turned.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"Oh, so this was all pointless then? Good, I hate that damn face. I fight you because your dream of the future is you, sitting on a crown of skulls, ruling over all. You tell me this is evolution? Lobotomizing the working class? Forgive me, but I've always been a bit of a marxist." Bryce opens his mouth, and acid sprays out into Mercer's face, bone armor already clinking to cover him.

The first few infected were slain easily with even with my broken blade. I guess that it's simply enough for the likes of them. Turning to others, I dash towards with as runic plates manifest around myself as I continue to cut down more and more at my whims. This battle... Can it be glorious?

Archimedes kept killing the infected. "Ugh I got blood over my shoes. That stain will never come out"

 

[Furioso]

As Valvatorez walked into the fray he sighed "It is as I feared, this entire city may need to be purged..." He unsheathed his sword and waded into the infected, slicing them apart left and right.

Fenrich was right beside him, crushing skulls with brutal punches. Their attacks seemed choreographed with each other, creating a maelstrom of violence around them.

Mercer anticipated the acid attack this time, remembering the damage it could do, and whipped his head to one side. Then he launched a great fist of knotted tentacles at Bryce from point blank range. When it struck his chest it immediately whipped around his torso before hurling out more tendrils to ensnare his arms. Mercer straightened up and looked him where his eyes should be.
"I'd hardly call these particular people working class, but that's not the point. I mean giving the peopleour strength! Our speed! Our limitless potential! They're bound to one frail form, but we can give them the chance to become anything! We can change everything! THAT is what I mean by evolution!"

OoC @Berk: How much infected would there be?

Three more of the mutants fell before the man, sliced cleanly in half in a single swipe. Looking around, he saw the tendril errupting from Mercer. Figuring that was the source of the infection, he began running towards Mercer. As the infected moved to bar his path, he lashed out, the first mutant first had his left leg cut up, and before it hit the ground, a second swipe cleaved through its torse, cutting from the right shoulder to its neck, effectively seperating the mutant's head from its body. several more mutants met similar end as the man moved towards Mercer.

OOC: @Nailik Let's go with 10% of the crowd turning. As to how many people were there in the first place... well, its in the middle of a wealthy metropolis. Go by whatever number you think should be there.

Yukino's smile widens showing her fangs as she slashes through the infected, spraying blood and burnt biomass everywhere around her. She hums to herself as she continues her slashing.

Bryce smiled, a beatific smile, with no malice. "This is not evolution, Mercer. This is a human playing god with other humans. We have a word for your type. Logan. Butcher of flesh. You have no regrets of your actions, no consideration of whether your boot treads destroy innocents. Where I come from, we have created a nation that stretches through the seas, to all continents, and we continue to grow. We reach for the stars, the first time in years, and will soon leave our cradle of birth, out to the galaxy. That is evolution, Mercer, slow growth to improve all life. Not this mockery of humanity, flesh dangling and hiding the marionette cords that connect you to them." As he speaks, fire begins shedding itself from his armor platings, growing larger and larger to swirl around him, consuming all of the flesh around him.

Buckling my sword, I started to easily walk away from the fighting. Nothing. I feel nothing from this fight. It's just like in the League. Nothing honorable about any of these monsters that I am facing.

The fox continues to watch me, out of the corner of my eyes.

Valvatorez and Fenrich continued to slice into the infected. Eventually only one of the infected who had targeted them were left. Fenrich dashed forward and grabbed it before hurling it behind him, where Valvatorez was ready to slice it in two. They let the rest of the group finish off the infected.

Archimedes had a devilish grin while he shot through the infected. "Come on guys you aren't even giving me a challenge. Do you think you guys can form into a giant zombie or something"
